When are cuts due / when moust the roster be finalised?
One new wrinkle to this year’s World Juniors will be the ability for all teams to utilize the 25 players on their roster freely during the tournament. Previously, once a team had utilized 23 players, its other two players could only compete if one of the first 23 players suffered a tournament-ending injury or illness. Teams may dress up to 20 skaters and two goaltenders in a game.
Seems like they‘re using CCM helmets and gloves this year based off the pictures from practiceA good change.

This makes so much sense. Why were we not doing this years ago? It's what pro teams actually DO. It's just how you manage a team.A good change.

So there are no cuts? Do we have 25 in camp right now?
I love this
You will need a player like Spellacy for the tourney on the 3/4 line.Thoughts on Lukas Fischer's absence from the camp roster? Maybe a role for him next year, at least in my papers, but I would have liked to see him at the camp already this year.
29 players in camp roster so 4 cuts.
My early cuts would be Ralph abd Kleber. Hensler if they want to keep more defensive option. Spellacy and Pelosi seems like a obvious cuts ATM.

No you don't. Hawks fan?You will need a player like Spellacy for the tourney on the 3/4 line.
Of course. But I doubt many here have actually watched him play much.No you don't. Hawks fan?
He's still very raw. Lots of room for growth. Wouldn't be surprised if he makes the team but this invite feels more like a "lets see where he's at compared to established guys" type thing. Likely a shoe in for a spot next year.Of course. But I doubt many here have actually watched him play much.
Can't disagree here and you probably have more viewings than me. I do watch some CHL throughout the year but haven't seen him throughout the fall. I did however take in the whole WJSS this summer and was there for the Saturday game vs CAN. He was one of the best players for us in that game, really stepped up and was hard on pucks and at the net front. I can't remember if he scored but I remember saying over and over "Man this kid is really is really making an impression here." He'd have my vote for being on this team, we'll see what happens. He's still very raw. Lots of room for growth.
