He is without a doubt much better player than Altörn.Out of those, I actually think Eddie Genborg would have had most impact ...playing on the third or fourth line with his physical game and intensity. Perfect energy player. He would not have looked out of place despite being two years younger. What a fun player to watch he is! Curious to see if he can translate his newfound offense at men's level in the future. Either way, he should have a future as a role player in the big league imo.
But maybe some of our bad players can get injured so we can bring in new better ones?Bad news boys, we are playing against goon Canada in 22 dec. They always hurt our key players with dirty hits. I dont understand why Swedish federation wanna play against Canada every year in a pre tournament game.
They’re going to need to toughen up, especially after the US ran them over last year.Bad news boys, we are playing against goon Canada in 22 dec. They always hurt our key players with dirty hits. I dont understand why Swedish federation wanna play against Canada every year in a pre tournament game.
Usa did not ran over Sweden last year. Usa are not physical like Canada is. Usa won because of skill. They’re going to need to toughen up, especially after the US ran them over last year.
Boy, are you ever off on this take. The USA is physical as hell!Usa did not ran over Sweden last year. Usa are not physical like Canada is. Usa won because of skill.
No, they are not.Boy, are you ever off on this take. The USA is physical as hell!
Okay, then. Good luck getting run over. No, they are not.
Go re watch the final, its on youtube. You clearly dont remember what the game looked like.Okay, then. Good luck getting run over.
I know the US typically plays though. Don't forget this is on the small ice. It's THIS year you need to be thinking about... not how they played the game last year.Go re watch the final, its on youtube. You clearly dont remember what the game looked like.
I dont think they are, they did years ago but are more about Skill and speed nowdays. Not saying they are soft just that they are not banging bodies as Canada is doing. Atleast not when we face them. Small rinks means more physical play thats for sure. Our coach picked a couple of grinders and stay at home d. Its our top 6 and our top Ds lack of grit that worries me.I know the US typically plays though. Don't forget this is on the small ice. SVT broadcasted it because it was held it Sweden. Unless anything changes nobody (in Sweden) is broadcasting them this time around.Has anyone heard if (I am guessing SVT) is broadcasting the two exhibition games prior to the tournament (vs. Canada and Germany)? Believe SVT televised/streamed both pre-tournament games last year.. but then again.. this year's tournament is not held in Sweden
A grinder with zero Skills. He picked him over Frondell. Hävelid is a crazy man. Should be locked in a asylum.Does anyone know anything about Dennis Altörn? This is the first time seeing his name on any roster leading up to the tournament from what I’ve seen lol
I agree that it’s crazy that they left Frondell off the roster, but the coach is likely thinking about the small ice with this decision. Wait, weren’t you yourself concerned about the lack of grit for this team just recently?A grinder with zero Skills. He picked him over Frondell. Hävelid is a crazy man. Should be locked in an asylum.
