Not injured. His injuries has just caused him to play for the U18 NT instead, coaching staff is dumb dumb.

i just dont understand the reasoning from them, why not take and evaluate him in the precamp. Even if he was just an extra forward he would be a excellent choice to toss in if you wanna change lines mid game or other players get injured.

But the coach is Hävelid and i find myself often confused about his decisions.

Seems like Hävelid want a physical team. Its in Canada on small rinks so it makes sense. But Altörn of all guys.... why not Zether, H.Pettersson or Genborg instead..

I have been critical of Hävelid some times, but atleast he's getting the results although the final piece is just missing. 2 u18 gold medals, 1 hlinka bronze medal, 4th place in WJC 2023 and Second in 2024. I believe he's the one that will break the gold drought during these next 3 years

Altörn must be Nelson Mandela with the locker room speeches. Absurd. He's not the only one either.
We're collecting low upside as if we are investing in snow come spring time.
Not a very good chance of not getting our faces caved in against Canada and the US. Goalies have to do a lot to work for us to even dream of gold. The big names also have to perform, and some players have to play better hockey than I've ever seen them play before.

First half of this team might be straight up better than the second half of the team we are sending. Especially some of the D choices are egregious. Would obviously be a 05-heavy team, but for Gustafsson to be your 06 D of choice is hilarious.

Nothing screams like bringing out that little extra like having players with no extra to bring.

"He's a big man, good skater, who has had to work more on his defensive side this fall"

About a "big man" who is at best 2-3 cm(and the same weight) taller than multiple other players who have the advantage of, you know, being better at hockey. Also, we should enforce mandatory kicks to the balls of anyone who uses good skater without anything additional when getting asked about a player.
I don't even know why he says the last part, I hope a player you select for the world championships has been working on his defence????

This guy should thank his lucky stars for that 04 group for bringing him the u18 gold and the silver last year. Signed until we colonize Mars. Great.

Pray for Otto to put a tough fall behind him and keep being the boss internationally.
