Linus Eriksson, Victor Eklund and Anton Frondell is already looking good in Allsvenskan, come December they will have taken steps, i think all 3 is making it.

And Wikegård, who is the new GM, is good news, he is gonna teach them GRIT. They already have it, but Wikegård is gonna insert even more grit in them.
Not completely convinced about Eklund’s chances, he would have to bulk up quite a bit till then.

Stenberg - Edstrom - Unger Sörum
Wahlberg - Nilsson - Frondell
Dower Nilsson - Pettersson - Nordh
Forsfjäll - Eriksson - Zether
Ihs Wozniak or Fernström as 13th forward

Lindstein - Willander
Freij - Sandin Pellikka
Sahlin Wallenius - Landén
Wikman

Thelin

Maybe no top forward like we had previous tourney in Östlund and Lekkerimäki but there is good depth overall. Will be interesting too see how Frondell and Ihs Wozniak progress during this year. If they develops into high end prospects i can have them both in the top 6..

The defence is on the same level if not better than previous.. goaltending should be decent too

Eklund - Eriksson - Frondell
Forsfjäll - Zether - Nordh

Ekberg/Felix Nilsson/Wersäll/Vuollet/Zetterberg/Fernström/Nordlund/Pettersson/Berglund

Forwards is looking good. Edström was good in SHL playoffs. Stenberg was good in Allsvenskan playoffs. Sörum is impressing with mens NT. Wahlberg is doing great in AHL. Eklund and Eriksson exploded. Vuollet dominating J20 playoffs. Wozniak, Ekberg, Frondell one year older. Zether doing fine with Rögle. Dower Nilsson showed in his 5 games in SHL how good he is. Wersäll impressed with DIF, Depth is fine.

Don’t think Wozniak makes the team, he’s all around meh, except for playing on the PP or when he gets setup for scoring chances.

When it comes to Ds..... Eliasson should be on the radar. He is massive, mean and not terrible with the puck. Kostadinski, Hurtig, Landén are also physical. i could see 2 of this types get a spot since its on small rinks.

Lindstein - Pellikka
Fransén - Willander
Sahlin Wallenius/Freij - Eliasson
Kostadinski/Hurtig/Landén

The top 3 defensemen are as good as they come at this level. Provided they’re all eligeble that is.

I think you consider the Djurgården trio of Frondell Eklund and Eriksson as well as the obvious 2 06 D, but unless there are major changes in Autumn, I think you fill up with the best 05s, and run that team as far as it gets you. As of right now I don't think there are any underagers that have shown upside worth picking them over the next 05s.

The 05s are pretty weak. Let the best players play. Eklund, Zetterberg and Eriksson is too good to be left off. Frondell is very young so not likely he makes it, he has to be really good in Allsvenskan to make it. Wozniak surely did not impress in the u18s, i scratch him from my team as of right now.

At this point I’d be a bit surprised if Unger Sörum is available. Sure pretty weak stats in the SHL but a lot of things happen in half a year.

There are way more solid depth players amongst the 05s, and very few 06s have more upside than those players. Besides, the only one you are bringing up that I didn't mention is Zetterberg.
In that case, Frondell is already a better underager anyways, so not sure why that should be the substitution.

Agree on Wozniak though, not because of the u18s but just overall level, as of right now.

05s are pretty weak? Compared to whom? Nonsense. It is a good class.

Underagers will be Ihs-Wozniak, Frondell, maybe Eriksson/Eklund
For 05 there is Traff aswell

Disagree on JIW, great PPG in J20, and was very good at 5nations. He is a better talent than any 05 or 06 class player and has size. We shall see how he will progress, but I think, he has good chanse

From what I’ve seen JIW is more of an opportunistic player, and not so much a driver of play. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, since it enables him to produce a lot of points. On the other hand, that makes him more dependent on his linemates for developing play. Once in the offensive zone, on an already developed play he is incredibly great at ceasing chances and actually fairly creative as well. But like I said, if his line isn’t clicking, he hasn’t got a lot to offer other than occasional takeaways which he’s become quite effective at in J20.

Yes, something like this, at least in competition with older players. More like Laine less like Aho.

Ottawa Senators drafted Gabriel Eliasson in the 2nd round (39th overall) in the NHL draft.
A number of Ottawa fans on the Sens HF boards seem to think that this was a bad pick or at the very least, a big stretch to draft Eliasson this early.

I am seeing his name come up in this thread as a potential candidate for Team Sweden in the upcoming 2025 WJC. That tells me that he is a pretty good player if he is an option for Sweden.

What can you tell me about this player?

I dunno about his chances. I think Freij and Sahlin Wallenius are the two 06 defenceman that will make the team.

Thank you.

Can you provide a bit of a scouting report on Eliasson for us Sens fans, who really don't know much about him other than the online videos that show him crushing people with big hits?
