In the history of tournaments, I don't think there has ever been a tournament where Morreale did not pick the U.S. to win...

I guess his NJ High School Ice Hockey HOF membership (LOL) has tainted his objectivity.
He’s the worst of the worst, but the entire NHL.com crew are star spangled quacks.

I doubt they are cut but not registering the full 25 gives you the flexibility to still bring someone from outside in case of injury if you want to up until NYE. Or you just register the player then.

Ignoring the names not registering your 14th forward or 8th D until you intend on playing them makes sense. If you register 14/8/3 and 3 D get injured in game 1 now you're down to 5 D for the rest of the tournament. If you register 13/7/2 and that happens you can use your last 2 open skater spots on D to go 13/9/3 and at least have 6 D. Sucks for the forward left out in that case but bad breaks happen. Same thing up front in 3 F got hurt. The goalie is weird though. You can't choose to roster 1 less goalie and get an extra skater. So assuming the will register the last G at some point it's going to be Bjarnason unless he gets hurt in practice I guess.

Just watched Guenther score in overtime to give Canada the 2023 tournament on TSN. Looking forward to seeing another gold this year.
