WC: 2025 Switzerland

I can see Baechler getting the Hofmann spot tomorrow because of him being more physical. Beside that I would not change anything.

So ... in final will be the USA.

I like it.
I say no more than that. Because we are not there yet .... and i am not saying whatever can or could be said.

I hate Swedes in hockey ... we do not perform well against them in general. Although today was another day. And the USA simply played faster and were very efficient.

Whatever ... i am smiling in a contained way.

Kukan is leading all D-men in points, could well be that he ends up in the All-Star Team. He should, he was pretty amazing all around.

And I want to give a shout-out to Ken Jäger. He made such a huge step from last year, his defensive play is amazing, he's really strong in the PK and also now has 5 pts. He really can replace Haas in this role, like a 3rd or 4th line Center with an offensive upside. And his skating is also very good.

You guys won against them with 3-0 at the group stages as well. To only lose this game and in OT means that you deserved better. Taking nothing away from the American team.

Lots of good players born 87 offering you depth. Hopefully your younger guys can keep it up and that Fiala and Hischier can bring a gold sometime. Was rooting for you the whole game.

I guess the hockey gods don't exist...

I can't believe it... Canada out, Sweden out, Czechia out, Finland out, all the stars alining only to fail to score at the most important time

I mean, if we need to talk about hockey gods, USA had a pretty nice reason to win it for Gaudreau

I'm really pissed but I wasn't expecting the team to win anything this year so better than nothing, I just fear that 4 final lost will get in the head of the players if we have a new chance at it

Tough to accept. Offensive Key players didn't perform today, Nino didn't have a good game, also Meier and Fiala. Today we missed Hischier heavily. Ambühl tried his best but he's no 1st line Center.

Also the Riat/Jäger/Knak line had a hard time today and was not able to create anything.

Kukan/Siegenthaler easily the best D-pairing of the tournament, by a fair margin. Glauser also with an amazing tournament.

Congrats Andres Ambühl on a career which will never happen again like this.

Two months ago I didn't expect a semifinal spot, but after seeing this team go through this tournament flawlessly despite all the players missing I started to believe it was meant to happen.

And losing to a usual underdog makes it even more painful. Up there with the most painful losses of my sport watching life

it didn't help that QF and SF were way to easy (no offense to AUT and DEN) we did not play up to our potential and Genoni kept us in the game but still we had a chance to win it, Malgin didn't score in OT Thompson did, well deserved for the US but this silver makes no one rejoice

If we can have one big regret is that Fiala and Meier never played to their potential this year

Also Nico's injury but we can be happy with the fact that in 120mn this USA team wasn't able to score a goal against us, we need more of a killer mentality though, especially in a coin toss like 3 on 3 hockey
