I have no doubt Fiala is coming if there is no injury.

Senteler is surprising, indeed. Baechler played center yesterday so that‘s probably the plan.

I guess Egli is likely the odd man out, but you want to keep him in case a PP defensman gets injured.

At forward I can see Rohrbach being a placeholder for Fiala. They might also wait to see if Niederreiter is out in 4 or 5 games.

Fischer says for Fiala there are 2-3 details to check and he also says everyone knows his commitment for the WC. So I'd assume he'll be announced tomorrow.

Only a few question marks on the lines I think.

Berni (or Fora) - Marti
Fora (or Berni) - Jung (Altough I think Fischer will start with 7+13)

Fiala - Hischier - Meier
Ghetto - Malgin - Riat
Hofmann - Jäger - Bertschy

Now the last line is the question. Knak will play. Baechler and Moy played Center in over the weekend. Schmid or Ambühl the other wing. Rohrbach probably being the odd man out.

It probably depends on Ambühl's role. If he's not the 13th forward but in the line-up, I could imagine that he'll be given the C for his last appearance on the big stage

I'd love that but I'm pretty sure Ambühl is at least 13th forward. But I agree, Schmid, Moy, Baechler and Knak played all too well and have to offer too much to not dress them.

Yeah fair enough, second line can provide solid offense too with Andrighetto and Malgin

I think the fourth line with Moy and Knak could be very good if they keep playing like they did on the EHT, having a 4th line that can score goal could be a huge factor

Still, if you don't put him there, where does he fit? He had a great tournament with Andrighetto in 2018, but the same combination wasn't as good in 2021. And then who do you put with Hischier and Fiala? I think playing them together to start the tournament makes the most sense.

Nico and Timo line was second amongst all line in expected goal during the playoff first round

I'd say we try them togheter and maybe go with timo on the second line if it doesn't work that well

The sure thing is that Riat was with them in 2022 and I don't want to see this again
