2025 Summer Transfer Rumors and Discussion Closed Window

As for PSG transfer window, not many options to upgrade.
They need a quality RB backup. A right footed CB.
A midfielder (4 quality options for 3 spots).
Selling Kang In Lee and bringing another offensive option (Akliouche?).

Donna might leave (contract ends in 26). Either he resigns or PSG will hunt, probably for Chevalier.

Ramos might leave. If so PSG has to buy a 9.

Kolo will leave.
Feels like someone who can be a perfect understudy to Salah for 1-2 years, but who knows if they will want to spend that much.
Left-footed wingers are very difficult to find.

Luka Vuskovic could join HSV on loan, however he will likely spent the bulk of pre-season with Tottenham especially if new manager comes in but doubt he stays with them, apparently had a good season in Belgium. Earned his first call-up to the Croatia NT this international window

The closest Salah comparison is Barcola, but on the other side. If he could develop his finishing a bit, he'd be very very comparable to Salah.

I think Barcola would want to start immediately - it wouldn't make sense for him to leave PSG where he rotates to rotate here. Could he be a #9 maybe?

Salah is going to play a lot and just signed on 2 years - so ideally, the player would rotate a lot now and then take over when Salah leaves.

Oh yes he would want to start, but as I said, on the left, not on the right. If Pool sells Diaz, they would be well advised to go all in on Barcola.
But I don't expect him to leave.

Nah I think it'll come down to 60.
80 to 60 for Malick? For me that is insane.
Nah, the prices are getting insane. I like him but he is very small and not a strong player either unlike a guy like Doku. Never scored more than 5 league goals in his career. This fee is all about potential, I would rather go for Akliouche or even Mbeumo.

Gordon to Liverpool died when he renewed his contract + Newcastle got CL.
Never rated him that high. People wants him because he is a scouser and grew up a LFC fan but in term of value for your money, one of the worst option available.

I think winger is one of the position with the most depth. Maybe not the most in term of Quality but people already mentioned Gittens, Williams, Mitoma is another shout, Eze, Semenyo, Garnacho. There are a lot of names out there and even in term of younger talent like Nusa, Fofana and I would also not mind a guy like Adingra as he is entering his last year on his contract and could be available at a discounted price.

What’s going on with his older brother? When is he cleared to return? And is he too of any quality?

He's very strong. He's like Doku with more end product and who needs some polishing. I like his potential. His speed kills defenses.
Akliouche is totally different. Speed is not his forte.

Mbeumo will cost a lot IMO.

I think Liverpool is looking for speed if they lose Diaz.

There is Lukebakio who is Dembele-Lite.
Kubo is another option.
Rodrygo if you have more cash.

Only 1 is needed though....

Silva would be nice.

Is Mario returning and they’ll play together? I was going to say I don’t like that move, but then checked to see that HSV was promoted.

Highly unlikely that Rodrygo leaves.

I still do know what LFC are doing this summer. They have not spent almost nothing for years and they are about to drop 150M on ONE player (they could legtimately get 3 great players at that price). I am having more and more a bad feeling about this one, maybe a reverse Coutinho situation. I love the player but that is insanely risked for a club with other key positions to fill. I am starting to have cold feet with this one. He better become a generational talent.

Leverkusen seem very hard to negotiate too with for a player that his other option is to join a direct rival at the same price.

Maybe LFC should start reconsidering their purchasing strategy. It seems so anti FSG this purchase.

150 for Wirtz? Cherki for 30/40? Doue for 50 last summer?

Ouch.
I know why they dropped out of Cherki and to me he would not be my alternative to Wirtz. It's not just about getting good deals, it's also getting the right players. For the record my alternatives would be Franco Mastantuono or Nico Paz.

Doué was a masterclass but to be fair, EVERY CLUB but PSG missed on him and that is without considering that it might only have been PSG in his head as it is the case with a lot of french players.

I am more furious about FSG looking for DM for years and letting PSG get a free run at João Neves last summer. He is a way better player than Zubimendi who they did not even got their hand on in the end.

Also for an attacking player, they should have made a push for Michael Olisé. IMO they would have had more chance last summer to snag him than Doué.

Anyway, in a positive light, they have made Gravenbech reach another level in his game. Won the league and it would have been hard to recruit them with Slot not having assessed the team yet.

Leverkusen aren't a direct rival with Bayern, despite the Xabi interregnum. They're going to go after their price on this one, regardless of whether he ends up in Munich. In part because they fully know they'll get that price from Munich (or City), in part because they are getting gutted over this next season or two so the particulars of where are less important than getting everything they can in the process.

I think you'll end up happy with Wirtz but the risk is clearly there.I was shocked to see Kai bust, now Wirtz is more proven you just never know how players from the Bundesliga will fare outside the league.
You think? I'm pretty sure Rodrygo is likely going
Same imo he's being pushed out.

Actually Bayern had the same offer as PSG and Doue hesitated to join them. Fair play to them they did all they could.
