2025 Summer Transfer Rumors and Discussion Closed Window

look what they got for Marmoush, look what the got for Kolo Muani. That’s just recent strikers. Frankfurt is not doing anyone a favor. Ekitike is under contract and Frankfurt have UCL
More importantly is it worth it for buyers?
I know some people don't want to hear it but Buli is an open bar league for offensive players. And most struggle elsewhere.

Seems Lucas hit every incentive in the deal Spurs signed and he has likely become the most expensive player ever signed from the Swedish league

No way they just do that after investing so much for next season team. They will 100% get a striker in, loan with option to buy is what could be on the table for LFC if they don't get their prefered choice.
I don’t agree with that at all. FSG isn’t going to spend a significant transfer fee on a guy they aren’t near or at 100% on

This is a "helps me sleep at night" level of post only because KFC is rumoured to be after Ekitike lol. I've seen too many players fail coming from great BuLi years to the EPL to think that Ekitike is a better or safer option than Sesko or Gyokeres. What worries me about Hugo is that this is like his third team in four years or something, and Sesko had similar stats being in a much worse situation. You'd be wrong to spend anything close to 100 million on Ekitike and you'd be wrong to take him over Gyokeres or Sesko.
Yeah like Firmino, Endo, Szoboszlai, Konate, Gravenberch. I wouldn't spend 100 million on Ekitike but I would say if we're spending money on a player you should be worried about how good they are.

LOL, I’m calm. I don’t support Sporting or United. Point is that United don’t have European football next season and with the potential list of suitors Gyokeres is rumored to have they wouldn’t interest him. In fact, it’s been rumored to be the case. Additionally, he’d be an upgrade on Hojlund and Zirkzee. As for his price tag, Sporting are asking a lot for someone who is only so proven. That said, I can’t see his last two seasons, especially this past season, as nothing but impressive. How that translates to the Premiership one can only speculate and there are multiple factors to consider, but I think if he plays with halfway competent teammates he brings at the very least a decent goal return.

Ok but I asked if fans of other premier league teams would be jumping to take Gyokeres at that fee. How confident is everyone that he will tear up the premier league ?

A front three of Martinelli - Merino - Saka (hobbled) got to a semifinal.
Hard to think that would be replicable. Good chance we play Bayern next season, and they've got voodoo against us. We were a top team, no doubt, but our run was through PSV and RM. RM will be better next year and we might not get an amazing draw in the round of 16.

I would take Gyokeres if we're talking about getting a player outside of the top shop window, but I have a lot of questions about his goals after seeing Nunez do the same thing there. I can't pretend I saw him as much as I saw Nunez either.

That being said, if Diaz doesn't leave then he'll play 9 again, our need is a lot less.

Meh, Chelsea can have Delap. Hopefully his rejection of Man Utd means they will move faster onto Mbeumo, Eze and/or Mateta. All premier league proven products.

Delap is an alright player. I just watched a scouting report yesterday. But he's not that creative or dynamic.

None of those players in that tweet move the needle for Manchester United

The thing about Darwin, was they he scored against some big hitters in UCL. Was scoring against teams like Bayern/Barcelona/Liverpool. And he was like 22. Gyokeres is about to turn 27 and he has only scored at an elite clip in Portugal

He scored 3 against Man City. I didn't watch the match though.

This was November Man City before Pop got his stimmy. This was during Man City's worst stretch of the season. One of Man City's starting CBs was Simpson-Pusey.

Two of Gyokeres goals in this game were PKs
