2025 Summer Transfer Rumors and Discussion Closed Window

Is anyone here psyched to sign Gyökeres for 70 million ? I hope Man Utd steer well clear of him. That's the kind of player that busts at United. I'd way rather have the aforementioned Premier league players

The #9 market is so bad. The more expensive Ekitike gets; and Frankfurt have zero reason sell; they closer you are at the point where it makes more sense to just get Alvarez or Isak or someone.

Frankfurt are very good at selling and they have all the cards here. I trust the talent eval, but also don’t have a great feeling on this one.

If we are cashing in on those guys (supposedly Bayern wants Gakpo too for some reason) I think they need to get more of a sure thing than Ekitike; and they’ll be in the financial range to do so

Apparently he misses a lot of chances and his best asset seems to be dribbling. When you already have Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo, and Diaz who are all dribblers and want the ball, I am not sure he fits.

Maybe they need a striker who is more a runner and clinical?

I mean in a perfect world the striker they need is Alvarez. Ekitike is very good. Hes kind of an Isak starter kit. His finishing is inconsistent but he had great feet and he runs well.id take him over like Sesko and Gyokeres for sure but as his price tag gets closer to 100m, the less that it makes sense.

I also am not really sure we know what striker that Slot wants, because we were playing with misfit toys up there all season. Pre-injury Diogo probably closest, but hard to count on that. It’s going to musical chairs this summer. If Ekitike is there guy they need to do it asap, but I think Frankfurt going to be very tough to deal

I have a “hear me out”, I would not even dare say on here yet, but it’s a guy that probably isn’t available (yet) on a team that is also looking to get a striker

He is a runner, very good inside the box and he is very good at link up play. He is the best fit at LFC bar Isak. He is not Nunez, more similar to Firmino.
 
-Rumor that Deco met with Rashford’s agent and the fee would indeed be 40 million. Also saw that they think Diaz will be too expensive. Were it me, I’d still have a go at Nico Williams. Also hoping Dani Rodriguez gets a shot, though we have another cheap option if need be.

No thanks to Romeu, but wouldn’t mind it if they could get up to Segunda and then take a few punts on cheap players they benefit from and then sell on down the road. Obviously they’ve added to the B team before, but I’m talking premier division potential players.

I’m not. I wish Madrid would have bought him. Even with Modric going they have well probably have too talent of midfield options moving to the bench. Apparently they well might bring Nico Paz back as well.

Gyokeres would walk into the 9 role instantly. Anyway, you don’t have to steer well clear of him since he’s already steering well clear of you.

LOL, I’m calm. I don’t support Sporting or United. Point is that United don’t have European football next season and with the potential list of suitors Gyokeres is rumored to have they wouldn’t interest him. In fact, it’s been rumored to be the case. Additionally, he’d be an upgrade on Hojlund and Zirkzee. As for his price tag, Sporting are asking a lot for someone who is only so proven. That said, I can’t see his last two seasons, especially this past season, as nothing but impressive. How that translates to the Premiership one can only speculate and there are multiple factors to consider, but I think if he plays with halfway competent teammates he brings at the very least a decent goal return.

I don't think so. Frankfurt are hard negotiator but they are not stupid either. If their player wants out and they got a huge profit and can find a cheaper alternative they will do the move. As for LFC, it's Michael Edwards, I doubt he will go beyond his own evaluation of the player to get this through.
 
  • Saw a blurb about Madrid being interested in Wirtz.
  • PSV and Valencia apparently interested in Hector Fort, but the player has no interest in leaving Barca. Personally, I’m all for him staying. The catch is Kounde being such an iron man and not wanting to sit out ever means Fort doesn’t get a lot of minutes.
