2025 Summer Transfer Rumors and Discussion Closed Window

One thing for sure, LFC analytic team do not purchase players just off their name or for marketing. If they went with Frimpong it's because he will fill a need to Slot team that is lacking. I do not think he will play the conventional RB role, I think this will be Conor Bradley role. My feeling is that Frimpong will be an option for specific teams or tactics and he will occupy space that was done by the RW or AM (as in running into the box or the wing) and not RB that defend more.
I could see him coming in when you need to score late in game and you need more width against team playing deep line.

I think Chiesa will be also be sold so he will also cover for Salah at RW.

Not a fan of Frimpong for a team like Liverpool, that being said I think he's better overall than Bradley.

This is painful

Edwards and Hughes will have access to that data too. It looks weird but Edwards especially has earned the benefit of the doubt that he knows what he is doing

- A ton of rumours about Reijnders going to Man City for £60 million.

- Good rumours out of England say that Huijsen's preferred target is Real Madrid.

- Diaz is being linked to Barca, but wants to stay in Liverpool.

- Sane could be sold, Bayern is not budging on their last contract with him.

- Leverkusen confident that Wirtz will stay, others not so sure.

- Newcastle is looking at Eze.

- Not good sources, but they say that Madrid could send 1 million Euros to LFC for TAA's early release.

- Juve still wants Osimhen, release clause around 75 million Euros.

- Hugo Ekitike will leave Frankfurt this summer, teams in EPL and Ligue 1 want him.

- Good sources say that Arsenal will go back in for Joan Garcia.

- Napoli are favourites to sign de Bruyne in Europe.

I mean it would be stupid for Writz not to listen to all offers but I think he’s city bound.

Hell if your Liverpool as much as I rate Writz can you afford that price tag and have it not hit 100%? Best to go cost effective options.

David being heavily linked with Napoli. I think thats a good fit for him
I like Napoli. And I like Serie A.

I don't like the Napoli's president tho. De Laurentiis. Could block him in his next transfer. And causing him a lot of problems.

And hat's their project? And Conte will stay or will leave? A lot of questions marks...

I am not FSG/LFC but I will say that for some weird reason the club has been given in some rare instances the green light to spend big on players but many of the players targeted have not materialised. For instance, Aurelien Tchouameni, Moises Caicedo, Jude Bellingham and yes even Kylian Mbappé. Actual supporters even theorise that it is PR move to show they have ambitions so they don't get criticized
I am as doubtful as anybody to believe that FSG will accept to spend that much on one player but for some weird reason they can be willing to splash the cash in some odd "occasions" even though it has been yet to happen.

But yes history tell us that LFC would rather target moneyball option or good value on the market rather than the most expensive options.

Oh I’m more asking if it makes sense to spend that much on Wirtz. Assuming they are willing is it smart to do so. Take a look at the 100m players more often than not it’s usually a miss or at least not a home run. I’d rather bank on potential at a third of the cost. You get more bullets that way

It depends on how you value Wirtz. If you truly believe that Wirtz is a world class player (and a notch above all other) and he can give you some good football and win you more games for the next 5 years then sure I could see why they would want him.

But if you are a true ROI type of club looking for bargains and value on the market than a guy like Cherki seem like a more logical option.

I think he’s a world class player clearly. He would start on every team. At the same time is the difference between him and Cherki 100m? I’m less convinced.
