My family surname was "romanized" by the national communist Romanian authorities, and we lost the umlaut. I thought about getting it back but it's too much of a hassle with all the documents.

I appreciate any help for us cretins. I have a work colleague that inexplicably changed their name and now uses a é. No problem with diacritics on my phone, but holy shit trying to remember the alt code/macro every time I have to type it on my computer...

According to The Telegraph, Real Betis want to loan out AnTONY for another season. If I've understood it correctly, selling him after next season would fall to a range where Betis could probably afford to buy him at a price where United would not be hurt re: PSR.

He was purchased in 2022 for 95m euro which means 19m/season is being amortized.

After next year there would only be 1 year left and thus 19m would be the breakeven. Seems roughly reasonable that they could get that out of Betis since they're already paying ~85% of his wages so United shouldn't have to buy out his contract or give him a departure bonus or anything that would eat into a potential ~20m transfer fee.

Yeah, Mike McGrath from The Telegraph mentioned that Betis cover 84% of his wages. And that's the price range I've seen before. Around 19-20 million should be something Betis can afford.
 
It's possible, but that's about 50% more than Betis' highest transfer in the past 5 years. Granted, they have been slowly climbing out of the Covid hole and trying to align with LA Liga financial rules, and spent more than that prior, but it still might be a tough price.

They are probably selling Johnny Cardoso this summer. That’ll help. Also if teams aren’t circling for Jesus Rodriguez, they aren’t paying attention. Think Betis has some sales to make.

True, but are they going to want to spend 1/3-1/2 their transfer budget on Antony when they'll also need to fill those holes...or whichever ones open up after they sell guys the following summer? Will Antony still want to stay at Betis (where he does seem very reenergized/happy) and sign for reasonable wages (for them) if he has a successful next season?

I mean look what they’ve been doing. They’ll probably look for some more weird loans, and they’ll probably look at some weird markets. They got themselves into the UCL spots by loaning in Antony and signing a striker from MLS. No reason they can’t do similar. That roster is a lot of cast off vets from big teams and loans. Adrian is starting keeper for them and he came on a free, so I imagine they’ll be looking at that market as well. Who wouldn’t want to play in Sevilla? They aren’t exactly trying to win La Liga either.

Yeah. I guess I'm kind of figuring they'll milk another loan out and then opt not to pay 20M for him and look for cheaper/free alternatives from elsewhere at that point.
 
Rafael Pedrosa is getting a new contract from Karlsruhe. The 17yo has become a regular over the second half of the season for the midtable BuLi2 team.

Last time I saw him was years ago. Injuries had the better of him but you could see flashes.

FC Hollywood getting a bit silly at this point with acquiring and dumping CBs. Kim isn't ideal for them but has been massively overplayed and also playing with injuries and still been serviceable. They really need to just add another CB to the group with Upa coming off a major injury and Ito being unable to stay fit.
