2025 Summer Transfer Rumors and Discussion Closed Window

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Chelsea are:
A talent hoarder.
A very expensive global academy
A loan army

I mean they already have Caicedo, Enzo, Lavia which should be a solid core for their next 5 seasons and they still have got Amougou, Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu and Andrey Santos as extra.

Why would they purchase Essugo? What is the need?

Well, if you could register 40 player squads and make 15 subs per match in the future...

Purchase at 22M, sell in a couple years for 35-40M and pull in a nice loan fee during that time. It's all a profitability strategy, it has nothing to do with actual roster construction and the Chelsea squad you'll see on the pitch.

It’s repulsive and should be stopped. This is insane. Killing careers.

The stuff about “killing careers” is so funny, as if these players in a post-Bosman world don’t have agency over their own career choices. It’s not as if Chelsea is giving clubs wheelbarrows of money and players are sent without their input (a.k.a. North American sports). And - if you take even a second to learn anything about Chelsea in the last few years - the wages are absolutely not in “offer you can’t refuse territory”

Players make the choice, conscious of the fact that best case scenario they penetrate the first team and worst case scenario they gain high level minutes and exposure while on loan, with Chelsea as a stepping stone.

We can be honest about Chelsea’s “portfolio strategy” without having to get melodramatic about it. There are so many reasons to hate it, so why roll with one that’s just not founded in fact? “Human trafficking”, get a f***ing grip!

Especially funny to have bitching about “career killing” from fans of teams who ride teenagers so hard their careers end at 23… talk about career killing…

Please lol …

Chelsea is a cut above any club and something this sport has never seen before. Yes players have players agent who are as shitty as Chelsea congrats.

As for killing careers from other clubs, I’ve criticized Barca for not taking care of their young players more than most. So far it’s only Fati. Caught at a time when Barca were desperate.

Sorry but if you’re talking about human trafficking and career killing, you’ve lost the f***ing plot and you need to go outside and breathe the lords air. Circus clown behaviour.

Remember when Michael Edwards came back to FSG/LFC because he wanted to set up a Multi-club model? Peppridge Farms remembers

I also worry about the squeeze on lower-level teams and the overall effect on the ecosystem. It's cutting out a couple layers of teams that would have bought, developed, and resold (for profit) some of these types of players before they eventually hit the mega clubs. Now they are not only getting as many of those types of players and fees, they are having to pay a club like Chelsea to loan them in (or buy them for a future bloated cost). Net effect is the rich clubs get a whole lot richer and the gulf gets even bigger.
