NHL 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs

It’s an asset, that can be used at anytime in a deal and no matter how you swing it, a first Is way more valuable than a 2nd.

And if the Bruins choose to keep it, Id much rather have it be in 2028 than the next couple of years as Florida I don’t see dropping off of a cliff, in this next two years
End of the day that 1st or 2nd round pick is likely bottom 5 or so. Not all that much trade value unless the Bruins expect to be contenders already and trading said picks at a trade deadline.

Not at all close enough to bypassing my rage at how Florida was enabled two straight years, leading to 2 finals and 1 Cup. Vegas winning in such bullying fashion and seeing Florida tantrums was massively satisfying but the Edmonton series not so much.

Tkachuk is such a coward. Cheapshots on one end, turtles and dives the other.

That’s fine as long as you want to look at it that way. Not me though.

I want that pick to be as high as possible and hopefully the panthers suck in 2028 and win two rounds with a healthy Marchand this year, because ultimately that’s what will benefit the bruins the most.

Indeed and this is where the NHL game management narrative will be key. Allow the Florida nonsense or call it? It will decide the winner.
Tampa is scum as well. Call it both ways, not just by the name on the nameplate. I seen three wrap around holds by Tampa uncalled.

Tampa's D could be called every shift in their end.

I hate Florida.
I hate Tampa.
I hate Toronto.
I hate Montreal.

I really really dislike Carolina — Rod is a dick and their group chant at the end the game is (insert inappropriate word - whatever you like.)

I’m ambivalent about New Jersey — just don’t give a shit about them in any way.

Caps — meh. Don’t really have a lot of hatred. Ovie winning would be kinda cool. Would like 43 to wreak havoc (suspendable or not) on Toronto if it comes to that. That would be fun.

Ottawa. Oh Ottawa. Oh Linus. Can’t save a dying animal and Ottawa is destined to always be a bison on death’s doorstep. (Funnier if I was talking about Buffalo. Bummer.)

Mrs. Number8 says my playoff demeanor is very negative this year. She does have a point. But what she cannot fully grasp is the notion that many of these very strongly held views have been aged and tended to with care over the years.

She thinks I have issues. I think everything is pretty much the way it’s always been — it’s just that there isn’t the ray of hope for Boston that offsets the long and rightly held negativy.

Bottom line I want a team from Canada to win the cup

Tampa lives off the PP, Keeps them to a minimum and Florida should win this in 6

Not really. Yes they had the 5th-most PPGs this season, but they also scored more even strength goals than any other team except Washington. So while their PP is definitely a key factor I think their record suggests they can score quite enough in other ways.

Going to be a tight series. I tip Tampa in 7, but would never discount Florida. They just know how to get it done at this time of year.

OTT, EDM or WIN would make me very happy.

Montreal and Toronto can quite literally go f*** themselves hard. If they never win a Cup ever again I think would be wonderful.

Never Ever……….….Montreal and Toronto never ever ever win another Cup!!! :):)

Wow. I feel a bit better.
