You’re underestimating the collective effect.

Put them somewhere else, where the goaltending isn’t terrible, where a stiff like Rielly isn’t the #1 defenseman, where they don’t have the weight of the world on their shoulders, and you’d probably see better performances out of them.

Gona have to disagree here. Those 2 kids want to eat up 13-14 mil per season they absolutely should be criticized when they fall flat in the biggest moments. You can’t blame the goaltender/ dman etc. Matthews & Marner are the faces of failure in Toronto. Moving them to a town where hockey isn’t a religion will not help them find the clutch gene. I want no part of Marner and his 14m cap hit in Boston

I’m not saying they’re not a huge issue. I’m just saying they are talented enough that I wouldn’t bet against them being successful in a different environment.

It’s happened dozens of times to talented guys who didn’t win with their first team.

I came here because on the FLA - TOR game they called the Panthers and Bruins a great rivalry. I'd say it's one of the most lopsided rivalries in all sports over the past few years.
