The Rantanen story keeps getting chapters added. As mentioned, this series is a showcase for Team USA's goalies (well for two of them; the third one is off playing golf somewhere ;) ). Both looked solid tonight.

I like John Buccigross between periods. I think that was the first I heard him call a game, and he wasn't as strong. I appreciated Cassie Campbell being in the press box with him. She was clear and easy to understand, as opposed to Ray Ferraro between the benches, as it sounds like he's shouting at us.

Hate to piss on everyone’s parade but Panthers have never come back after being down 2-0 in playoffs …hoping for a first time
Well, it is the Leafs, so it is probably the time they will do it.

You see what happens when the Bruins miss the playoffs?

Leafs 2 wins away from their 1st ECF in years and costing the team a 1st rounder.
I was so unhappy last night watching that game.....

Tkachuk needs to get his shit together. Between he and Seth Jones, the number of crappy giveaways and passes to nowhere are making it easy on Leafs to break out/play the long game.

Leafs going to cruise to the Finals. And Never really be challenged. Stars should/hope beat the Peg in 5 and get a break/rest to play the Oilers.

Stars vs Leafs is a coin flip but if I was still a gambling man, $$ be on Knies and Co. Their going to do this. It really blows.

If Dallas gets to the finals without killing themselves they are winning the cup. They have been knocking on the door for years and are the deepest and hungriest team in hockey, they won't be denied.

The Leafs have done enough to win, twice, which ultimately is all that matters. We don't know just how good they can be here because they haven't yet had to chase a game.

For now I'm not fully convinced yet either. Huge amount of baggage there and the team still has its flaws. But they're a real chance IMO.

as good a chance as any, this is the first year in a long time there is no clear cut team to beat

I thought that Florida was better last night, but the Leafs speed is giving them trouble. I wish the refs would just let them play too. I think Bob has to be much better. Poor in game one and 4 goals on 20 shots last night is awful. He needs to win them the next game or they are toast. Lots of hockey left but the Leafs win that series (yuck) they win the east. Canes or Caps won’t beat them. I agree with others that Dallas is still the team to beat. The media in Canada though is making the Leafs success just unbelievably unbearable. Sportsnet is just bad.

I will give credit though: I would take Knies and Nylander on the Bruins any day of the week. Those guys bring it every game.
