believe you are correct, thought if they won 2 rounds it`s either a 2027 or 2028 first rounder, no clue how it`s determined which of those two years the pick would be though

Bruins one step closer to getting another first-round pick

The Bruins are officially closer to adding another first-round pick to their cupboard.

When the Bruins shipped captain Brad Marchand out of town (and to the Panthers of all teams) at the 2025 trade deadline, the return on No. 63 for Don Sweeney's club was a seemingly mild one, with just a conditional second-round pick in 2027 sent to Boston.
But the good news for Bruins fans is that this springtime stretch of essentially rooting for the team that has knocked them out of the playoffs in back-to-back postseasons is halfway over.

Whenever the next iteration of the Bruins gets to playoffs id like them for the first time since 2011 be the team that pushes the boundaries first instead of being the team that responds. If you look at the teams getting it done killer instinct and being the first to step over the edge seem to be the qualities you need. Every team there has skill now, it's what else can those skill players do that wins the round.

Interesting contrast in the handshake lines last. In the Caps/Habs, lots of mutual respect, embraces, and even camaraderie among combatants, including Wilson and Anderson.

The Cats/Bolts on the other hand, felt obligatory and perfunctory.

Maurice lauded Marchand, saying he makes Lundell and Listo much better offensively.

I'm pulling for Marchand; it's great seeing him succeed.

With the lack of depth the Bruins overtaxed Marchand the past couple years here. Is a slightly lesser role with a few less minutes you get more out of him and he's can still be an impactful player.

If Brad comes back to Boston this is exactly the role the Bruins should have in mind for him - middle 6, fewer minutes, looking for some high impact shifts in shorter bursts, potentially sometimes taking advantage of mismatches against weaker opposing lines, rather than having him keep grinding and taking on a big load in a true top 6 position. Do that and I reckon he can keep being really effective.
