Red Sox/MLB 2025 Regular Season IV - Kristian Campbell sent down to Worcester

Kristian Campbell already demoted

Roman Anthony thrust into #2 hole because your team sucks and he's hitting .114. How's that development going?

The organization is simply clueless and has been for years. They think they're intelligent and have all the answers. They don't have any.

I don't mind Anthony hitting 2nd. But not against a lefty. He's hitting .000 against them, OPB of .077. His OBP against righties is .341.

Feels very similar to the last couple of seasons.

They don’t score for Crochet.

They’ll hang around in the watered down wild card race, but they’re not contending.

Why wouldn't it feel like the last few seasons? Not all that much has changed. They got a legit #1 starter, but that is offset by Houck, who was actually pitching very well last season (3.9 fWAR to 4.7 from Crochet). Bregman has been injured and Duran fell from grace. And rookies are rookies, even top prospects take time to get accustomed to big league pitching. I think it's actually a positive that they have a decent run differential and are .500 at this point.

I want them to contend as well, the sooner the better, but it cannot be forced. They need to make the decisions what's best for the team going forward and not being afraid of what sports radio is saying.

Duran should be the first to go. And Chapman if he can get a great return, which I think is possible due to his resume and name (Ragans was traded for him a few years ago). Bregman depends on what their long term strategy is long term. It's either trading him or re-structuring the contract, otherwise he'll opt out at the seasons end and leaves without compensation.

So exciting to see an organization like Boston Red Sox fielding a dude like Nick Eaton. What a complete joke.

Nothing gets be juiced up like watching hacks like David Hamilton and Nick Eaton. All we need is Nick Sorgard to complete the trifecta

Major Leagues are hard. Not everyone hits the ground running.

He'll be fine, eventually. So will Kristian Campbell.
Mayer, Campbell, Anthony are all going through MLB teething pains. Anybody who expected them to come straight up and start raking right out of the gate was fooling themselves.

You gotta let them get their ABs and play through it at the Major League level. They will be fine.

The current problem is having all 3 of them in your starting lineup at the same time. You really can't afford to have 1/3 of your batting order trying to figure stuff out and still expect to contend.

0% concerned about Roman Anthony. A lot of bad ball luck.
