Red Sox/MLB 2025 Regular Season IV - Kristian Campbell sent down to Worcester

I don't know how Tyler Anderson's little pump fake leg kick isn't called a balk with a runner on base.

If that's not deceiving the runner, then I don't know what is.....

At least you know that the Red Sox can't possibly lose that game.
I love watching good pitching. Used to go to White Sox games for $5 last year to watch Crochet pitch too.

He's dealin' tonight. Got away with a couple deep flies to right, but his sweeper is on. It'd be nice if they got a couple more runs for him....

I remember as a kid going to watch Steve Rogers ( for the Expos ) pitch against guys like Steve Carlton, Tom Seaver and JR Richard. I don't mind high scoring games but there is something special about watching a low scoring ( or even a scoreless ) pitching duel.
One of the most fun games I ever went to was back in 1988. I was 20yrs old.

Brewers-Red Sox. Teddy Higuera vs Roger Clemens. Both guys threw complete games, which you never see anymore.

Both guys were un-hittable until Higuera ran out of gas in the 9th and lost 4-0. He probably threw 130+ pitches.

They had a very similar matchup in Boston the year before. Both guys threw CGs that time, too. Boston walked it off in the bottom of the 9th to win 2-0.

I have a tidy little parlay on this game tonight......Red Sox ML with Crochet 9+ Ks.

If the Sox blow this I will not be happy......

AND as soon as I posted that......Weissert serves up a belt-high fatty. God Dammit.

This team cannot score when Crochet pitches. Ruined yet another good start from him.

Story 1st pitch swinging and Roman looking at a fastball right down the middle in extras was infuriating. Send him to single A at this rate idc. That .150 average or whatever sucks. Maybe in single A he won't need to hide in a laundry basket to avoid signing for kids . So upset I stayed up til almost 1 for this

Red Sox are one of 3 teams in the MLB with a positive run differential and a losing record(Texas/Atlanta the other 2) so you'd think that would seem unsustainable meaning the Sox would end up gaining some ground in terms of wins, right? :dunno:

The +run differential could be inflated due to some blowout wins....

+11 vs STL
+7 vs CWS
+10 vs CLE
+8 vs TOR
+9 vs KCR
+14 vs BAL

Kristian Campbell already demoted

Roman Anthony thrust into #2 hole because your team sucks and he's hitting .114. How's that development going?

The organization is simply clueless and has been for years. They think they're intelligent and have all the answers. They don't have any.
