This is a horrible analogy. Basketball has become "positionless" in most cases. You're acting like Devers not playing 1B is why this team is terrible and it's completely disingenuous.

No it isn't THE reason why but his attitude is definitely one of them- when you have players refusing to do something to help the team when it is struggling that has a corrosive effect on everyone.

OK but I don't think it impacts guys simply being bad at their jobs. He's the best hitter on the team and might not even be a good defensive first baseman. The issues on this team go far deeper beyond him not playing 1B. That's what the focus should be on. The team smells.
