Time to fire Cora. 3 more errors. Base running error in ninth. Wtf
It's time to fire Sam Kennedy but short of that, ok start with Cora. I'm not convinced 8th choice GM Craig Breslow is answer either.Time to fire Cora. 3 more errors. Base running error in ninth. Wtf
Devers is doing just fine. You love to blame him but him not playing 1B isn't why they suck.9-15 since Rafael Devers cried about being asked to play 1B
The actions of your “leaders” matter
6-17 in 1 run games. A direct reflection on the coaching staff.
He really is baseball Doc Rivers
You forgot the conflict between the bloated analytics staff and the coaching staff, but that sums it up pretty well. It's time to fire Sam Kennedy but short of that, ok start with Cora. I'm not convinced 8th choice GM Craig Breslow is answer either.
Everything about this organization is a complete mess right now. The young players they locked up have very little impact and Kristian Campbell looks like another DH who is barely hitting enough to stay in the big leagues but they had to foolishly sign up to long term deal already.
The lineup sucks and the young players aren't ready to carry the team. Maybe we'll all finally stop caring about Baseball America rankings. Next to nothing on the horizon for pitching prospects either.
Since baseball isn't as free flowing of a team game as the other sports, people underestimate the role of chemistry. But it's a long 162 games and you need leadership to get through. Morale affects performance. It's why a less talented team in 2013 won the division and the world series because they had leaders in Gomes, Rosa, Napoli, etc. who made a difference.9-15 since Rafael Devers cried about being asked to play 1B

Every team uses them, not every team plays as fundamentally unsound as the Red Sox. This is a Red Sox/culture problem imo, not an analytics/driveline problem.Cora deserves a ton of blame, and rightfully so. However, these driveline and analytics nerds have ruined these young kids to a fault where they aren’t playing with fundamentals. Obviously if these kids are in the major leagues, they clearly were good fundamentally at one point in time. With analytics it becomes analysis paralysis and what you see on the field is the result of that.
Yup and when your highest paid player with the most security doesn’t put the team first it becomes awfully hard for everybody else on the roster to keep the faith that this team is being the best version of itself, and its quite discouraging for themSince baseball isn't as free flowing of a team game as the other sports, people underestimate the role of chemistry. Sox shouldn't make the same mistake with Duran that they made w Ellsbury. His game is speed, which never ages well. Trade him when he has control to actually get value
Absolutely incredible to continue this narrative that Devers not playing 1B is why this team sucks.Yup and when your highest paid player with the most security doesn’t put the team first it becomes awfully hard for everybody else on the roster to keep the faith that this team is being the best version of itself, and its quite discouraging for them

What mistake did they make with Ellsbury?
.40 seconds. I have had enough!
To add on to that, how do we think Anthony feels watching DH Campbell and platoon Mayer get the call before him? On the other hand, does anyone think the organization has put either one of those guys in a position to succeed right now? The Boston Red Sox should be bringing up these kids to an already established, good baseball team. Not bringing them up thinking that they will be the ones to turn the dumpster fire around. Like I said before, I don't give a rat's ass about the Baseball America rankings. You can have a highly regarded system and still be a complete mess of an organization. That's what the Red Sox are. A complete, dysfunctional disaster.remind me again why Anthony is roadblocked in Worcester while the season falls apart? oh right, John Henry's checkbook (aka lets not burn a year of control)...
