Sox shouldn't make the same mistake with Duran that they made w Ellsbury. His game is speed, which never ages well. Trade him when he has control to actually get value

I think last year was his career year also. Ellsbury did the same thing in year 4 in 2011, but never sustained the power. Duran will probably be the same.

Duran improved his pull bat speed, and learned that he could slice doubles and home runs oppo, even if he caught the ball a little late. Pitchers have adjusted and those hard late shots are falling just short.

That said Duran over Abreu.

They won the World Series in his final season with the team. I’d argue it wasn’t a mistake to keep him and let him walk as a free agent.
