Red Sox/MLB 2025 Regular Season II

Up 5-1 so far, the sky is falling apparently by reading the last page of posts.
We weren't up 5-1 prior to those posts. Finally winning a game feels weird.

Poor kids were starved but are finally happy to have free food from the 99. We finally won a game. Hallelujah!

I am reacting to 59 games of the same garbage over and over from the 4.1 follies to the awful Trev etc etc etc.
Numbers say they have to win at least a third of their games, with their impossibly slim margins, i don't even see that
As a neutral observer, I truly believe this team has the talent on its roster to make the post season. Not enough to win it all.

That said, I DON’T believe they have the manager in place to do it. They need a strong leader in the dugout. A Bruce Bochy/Jim Leyland style of manager is just what this team, AND front office, needs.

People always default to Varitek but like what has he done to earn peoples trust as a manager? He’s the game planning coordinator as is, what about this team this season looks prepared?

Honestly I wouldn’t hate Girardi for this group if they want a retread.

Or he’s a young player with

.275/30/100/.800

Potential

Rafaella is the guy who should sit for Anthony.
Abreu's been in a slump for about two weeks now, and he's still got a 131 OPS+, and is a Gold Glove caliber defender.

Not to mention that as of this morning the aggregate MLB batting average is .244, so even if Abreu does hit .250, that's still slightly above average.
