Canes/Caps is gonna be battle of who sucks less. Caps have looked as bad or worse than WPG/TOR so far and Canes just typically don't have the depth on offense or skill to beat the bigger dogs.

WPG looked really good the first couple of games, but now they've given up 12 goals in the past 2 games to StL. StL could be a sleeper team this year.

Monumental mistake that could be the turning point in the series. I still think LA pulls this thing out but it's taking a lot more effort than it should've.

LA was brutal yesterday in the overtime, I was so shocked to see them just get outworked the entirety of the frame. They could barely get the puck over the blue line and every play was a desperation dump. They need to figure out what went wrong and figure it out quickly. Edmonton might've found their game.

They’ve shortened the bench each game. The team was gassed and mentally shot for OT - it’s pretty rare you come out swinging in OT after you were up 2 goals and play 20 minutes of prevent defense that backfired.

I don’t think LA recovers from that. I’m not an EDM fan, but they earned the right to plow over LA here on out and they will. It’s a back breaker.

All Byfield had to do was make the simple play along the wall (when Zajac played on the Isles for that run, he made boring smart plays all the time that HELPED the team win the game). But, nope, he went for the glory play and got burned. The team was lost defensively rest of the play and goal against.

I was expecting a push somewhere in the OT but it never came. It was just wave after wave of the Oilers pushing.

We'll see how resilient they are but I agree with you, Edmonton is in the driver seat now.

That's part of why someone like Komarov was playing during those Trotz runs. At some point you need to trust your younger players and allow them to take those next steps but then you can get burned like this and it looks terrible. That one mistake just turned the series upside down and might end up seeing LA get knocked out instead of needing a single win in four games. Hopefully Byfield learns from this and never makes that mistake again.

The playoffs like every year is so enjoyable to watch. The atmosphere in Montreal and Ottawa must have been electric. Too bad those teams are going down early IMO. I am still hoping for them to pull a shocker and get another home game but I doubt it. I am once again looking forward to seeing tears in Toronto next round.

The intrigue for tonights Fla-Tampa game is through the roof for me. God I hate Tampa. I predict this goes 7.

The Avs need to come through for us. I want that 3rd round pick.

The Devils are just not strong enough to take out the Canes but would love to see them win in Carolina tomorrow. Reminds me of past Islanders - Canes series.

All the series are 2-2 in the West which is awesome. Hoping for Minnesota, LA and Winnipeg.
