Speculation: 2025 Off-season Thread

It would be hilariously ruthless to have the money to bring back Drouin, then turn around and give it to Duchene.

Very little chance, but the side of me who roots for chaos would enjoy it.

Using Duchene at 2C though? Mmmm, color me skeptical.
Landy-Duchene-MacKinnon
Necas-Coyle-Nuke
Lehky-Drury-O'Connor
Blender of: Parker/Stienburg/Bradley/Ivan/Prischepov/Dufour to begin the season.

Otter should destroy DeBitch's office with his goalie stick. Just go full helicopter with it.

Then Nill should wait for him to clean it up, then fire him.

The thing is with this Avs team compared to the 2022 team, besides having few different players, from the get go this year, Avs had the wrong attitude compared to 2022. In 2022 from the start of the season, the team was determined to have a good regular season, to have home ice in the playoffs and stuff.

This year the attitude was, we don’t care where we finish as long as we make the playoffs. They just weren’t very serious or determined to have a deep playoff run from the get go. I know there were injuries and Georgiev in net to start the season, but even after goalie trades and other player changes, the attitude was the same.

I mean, Sakci always was a opportunist.... With Bertuzzi AND May.... I guess thats why we signed that POS May back then.... Something i wont forgive and forget. Just to be clear.

Regarding Duchene:
This is going to be a long summer here.
A lot of Avs players and management weren't happy with Moore's lawsyit and stuff

From what I've read, this is absoultely true.

But I never understood this from the players' perspective? Which part of "THE CODE" did Steve violate by seeking compensation for having his f***ing neck broke in a clear display of workplace violence that was broadcasted for the world to see, over and over and over again.

I think it's just the fact Moore was looking for the money for life. His character took a big hit with the Avs and Sakic.

Um... his "life" was sort of robbed from him. Hell, yes he should've sued for it.

The Avs and Joe Sakic can suck my balls. Joe signed with the f***ing Rangers, he knows all about not settling for less than what you think you are entitled too.

Lol what the f***?!

So a big issue is MacKinnon has really poorly timed changes?

Interesting.

Also, anyone who suggests signing Matt Duchene should be automatically banned. You don't pay players who perform as poorly in the playoffs as Duchene does anything more than 1M per.

Well, when Mack and the other forwards both have 21 shifts. Mack will be rocking like 23 minutes while the other guy (usually Nuke) has 17 lol. That's not just power play either since Nuke is also on the first unit.

His shifts are way longer sometimes.
