This has been a gigantic failure of a core that gets hidden by them having a single successful year where they won the cup.

Stan Kroenke needs to go ham. All coaches, CMac and Sakic. Everyone needs to be gone. It’s not going to make them better, but they just can’t keep failing in the same ways.

Did Necas play C for Canes or mostly wing? I can’t remember. I wouldn’t mind seeing Necas pair with Gabe on 2nd line. Nuke-MacK-Lekky on 1st line. Go and either through trade or FA try and add a wing to pair on that 2nd line.

-I think have to let Nelson walk after how he played in these playoffs. Let Drouin walk as well. Try and re-sign Kiviranta who I like on 3rd or 4th lines.
-They need to trade Girard as I think they could find a team who is looking for more of a puck handling Dman and can take his 5 mil contract or most of it.
-Try and find a taker for Colton’s contract.

Hard to be excited about any upcoming moves. Make whatever moves you want, you wont beat Dallas in this shitty playoff format. We have 2 of the leagues best players and nothing turns out right when they don't have Naz. Actually speaking of Naz I hope he gets a chance to dominate the Avs in the playoffs next year like ex Avs get to do.

Actually it's exciting atleast to know we can't pick a 1st round bust.

This team needs a season to grow under new coach. The whole season was a slow train wreck which almost managed to heal itself and beat Dallas (3rd in NHL). That start of the season team was gonna be swept and new team was hampered down by Bednar's stupid line choices..

Landeskog replaces Drouin in the top 6. Gotta find a middle 6 winger to replace him unless the Avs decide to keep Colton. Drouin just isn't it for the playoffs, he avoided contact all series, got outmuscled, and provided no offense. He was the worst player on the Avs in this series.

Nelson is a tough one, very few UFA centers out there. Need to hope Bennett goes to UFA or try to recoup assets moving on from a couple players to trade for someone if anyone is available.

The offseason starts with the coaching staff. Only getting last the 2nd in round once in 9 years is in excusable. I love hockey and read these boards everyday. But it's time to take a break. Hockey is just a small minor part of life....thankfully 2022 is still with us. Have a great summer everyone.
