I'm a lacrosse guy so MLB and MLS being hidden on Apple isn't a big deal. I'll watch the Sox on Nesn and go to a few games still. I don't want neutral games.

Apple TV is a rip off and I have to remember to cancel it bc so little free stuff is on there but they make some excellent original content. Happy I dumped the iPhone.

Have to think about total potential dollars, not just AAV. Bregman has a guaranteed $80M for 2026 and 2027, but then he'll be looking at another deal after that, starting with his age 34 season. He'd probably be looking at a 2, maybe 3 year deal then. If Boras thinks he can get a 5 year deal next offseason with more total dollars than the remaining two years of this deal, plus a potential 3 year contract after, then he'll opt out.

I don't think he'll opt out, but I don't think he's a lock not to.
Reminds me to buy some tickets or Uncle Steve is going to stop spending

Does anyone truly watch other teams play these games? I mean sure, once in a while but who is putting 2.5 hours into a reds Pirates Sunday night game?

Do we see Reds-Pirates on Sunday night? We might see a Mets-Pirates game or a Yankees-Reds game. The real question is what are the viewership numbers going to be for Mets-Yankees if the deal goes to Apple? Will baseball fans buy a sub? If not, what becomes of the future of MLB?

Speaking of the Yankees, beards are allowed.

I always thought it was bs the way they limited player expression. If you signed with them I get it. But for a player that is drafted or a guy that goes there in trade. It’s just wild to me that no one ever really pushed back on it.

Agreed. I don't watch a lot of regular season baseball unless my team is playing or its a really compelling matchup.

That said, I WILL listen to out of market games on the radio. Baseball is the perfect sport for radio, so I'll have a game on in the background while I'm working around the house.

When I was a teenager and sports were everything, I might have, but nowadays I can barely make time to watch my own team.

Back in the day the national broadcasts were your only opportunity to watch stars from teams outside of your geographical region, but now that we have YouTube, it's somewhat unnecessary

I used to put Jon Miller on when I couldnt fall asleep but the adds would wake me up.

Then I found....

Fake baseball games to help you sleep hahah

I’m sure some of you have already said something like this, but these Red Sox need to watch Bull Durham to learn how to interview. I do like the way Cora seems to be handling things at least.
