I kinda wish we didn't sign Bregman and saved the money for Vlad Jr.

There's no way Bregman plays well enough to opt out of 40 mil per year. If I'm wrong well that's great.

Great kid

Give me him over Benintendi vanilla approach to not get any controversy

It’s interesting how uptight uber opinionated people getting their panties in a bunch Calling into talk radio and Twitter - telling him to keep his opinion to himself but not taking their own advice

WEEI or 98.5 should get him each week for a spot

As a Jays fan, if they lose Vladdy, which there's a good chance they do. The whole staff should be fired into the sun.
I’m not sure the Sox can afford him as long as have Devers

he would be amazing here

Bregman will only have 2 years left

But he’s going to want 500 M minimum

Hate to burst everyone's bubble, but Vlad Jr. is gonna be a Yankee next year.....

Goldschmidt is just keeping his seat warm.

Guerrero said that his favorite city to play in outside of Canada was New York, but that’s only because he loves “[crushing] 'Los Yanquistas' (Yankees fans) and the Yankees.” When asked if he’d ever play for the Yankees at that time, Guerrero replied, “No, not even dead.”

I remember being so hyped for this guy to improve our bullpen when we got him near the deadline in 2003, but he wound up being terrible. The trade got all hung up too because I think the prospect the pirates included in the deal had sketchy medicals and they worked it out by reverting the prospects exchanged when they did the Suppan deal at the deadline.

Have to think about total potential dollars, not just AAV. Bregman has a guaranteed $80M for 2026 and 2027, but then he'll be looking at another deal after that, starting with his age 34 season. He'd probably be looking at a 2, maybe 3 year deal then. If Boras thinks he can get a 5 year deal next offseason with more total dollars than the remaining two years of this deal, plus a potential 3 year contract after, then he'll opt out.

I don't think he'll opt out, but I don't think he's a lock not to.
