If he was ever going to go I think it’d have been now. Stock might not ever be higher.

I think Denver means too much to him and he’ll never be on board with how quickly nhl teams cycle through coaches
It's about his family, nothing else.

I think they've reached the conclusion that they desperately need Sorenson back in Rockford because Eaton isn't gonna cut it.

The bigger question is how willing are they to fire Blashill? Will they do it if a better coach becomes available in December? Does Kyle get the rope to do so?

If coaches in this offseason you would want don't want to come here.

How would they want to come here in December, unless said new coach is looking good and making improvements

How many coaches actually said no to Chicago?

Carle isn't willing to join the NHL at all. He said no to everyone. So it was just Sullivan?

If they hire Blashill, they are sticking with him until it fails, or stops progressing.

If Blashill is named head coach, I’m okay with that, he’s been learning from Jon Cooper the last three seasons, had been an NHL head coach the seven prior with the Red Wings…he’s been in the NHL for TEN SEASONS…he’s qualified

Think about the Bears. There were multiple names. With Sullivan and Tochet gone (and Q) and Carle not ready to move, then what does the list even look like? A retread like Torts or Laviolette or Julien?

Honestly who the hell is ever available? Who is the next Spencer Carbury?

What real options do the Hawks have?

He’s got the experience that people have been asking for. Maybe it ends up being like the Cubs-Renteria situation where they let him go in 2-3 years when a candidate they really want becomes available and is actually interested in the job.

Works for me. He's here to develop the talent and has NHL experience. Not super exciting, but when you're a bad team, you don't get first choice. We'll see how it goes.

Welp if team shows no improvement next year under him then that should be it for Davidson

He failed miserably with Richardson and has now tied his future to Blashill

No more excuses for Davidson

Team either begins upward turn or its time to clean house entirely
