Rumor: 2025 Non Drafted College Free Agents

Anything on TJ Hughes yet?

Oddly quiet, I'm starting to wonder if he might go back for his senior year. I wouldn't begrudge a guy for finishing his degree and having one more year on campus versus a year in the AHL.

The other CBA quirk is that Hughes wouldn't be delaying his RFA clock necessarily by waiting. If Hughes were to sign today, he'd have to get a CBA mandated 2 year ELC because he's 23. If he signed next spring, he'd get a 1 year ELC because he'd be 24.

DU's goalie Matt Davis had some interest last Spring but he chose to return for his senior year. With DU getting eliminated tonight, he might sign soon.

Hardly a reputable source, but on the broadcast last night Buccigross was saying he'd have to begin his pro career in the ECHL.
