Honestly I don't think there is any way possible that the Canes GM Tulsky sends Rantanen to compete with their chances of going the distance in the East...If he does..he's most likely fired on the spot!
There is no way that any offer would change that unless 1 contending team guts themselves just to get Mikko.
I don't see a team not in the hunt that has the assets to entice the Canes to trade him in the same conference either!

I would doubt that too, but I'm of the belief a gm should take the best offer on the table and not worry about division/conference.

if the differences is just a few picks. In the grand scheme of things, unless it's a 1st, then it's probably worth it to send them out the division/conference, otherwise just take the better package and be happy

i look forward to knocking dumbassed vegas out if the playoffs, hopefully we gear up a bit better here

i used to be a parayko truther but i fell out of love w it over the last bit.. hes out of the running now

I almost wonder if they move him to a non-contender if it's a sign and trade. Maybe a borderline playoff team or someone that can give them genuine assets in return

Who says no? Figure out the cap and Robertson next year lol

Conspiracy theory the Canes have no intention of trading Rantanen but putting it out there so contenders waster their TDL time focusing on him as the dream scenario.

Then they back out last minute, keep him and teams they are competing with run out of time on other players available
