Hedman Raddysh
McDonagh Cernak
Moser Perbix

Vasy

I get it for Tampa. That core won't last forever. Hedman is already showing real signs of aging. These two absolutely makes them a deeper and more formidable playoff opponent.

But that is still a hell of a lot to give up. Gourde, with all that retention, will cost them $1.29m this season. Bjork's cap hit is 5.4m per for this season and next. They both had modified NTCs.

Donato doesn't have any sort of trade clause, is only making $2m per for this season, and has more points than either of them. So if Seattle can get two 1sts and a 2nd for that, you gotta hope we can get one 1st for Donato.

Teams probably know who the real Donato is (this season aint it), so I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't willing to trade a 1st for him, and are just playing chicken with the Hawks to get it down to a 2nd at the last minute of the deadline.

I don't necessarily disagree, it's easy to see he's having a career year.

I'm hoping his cheap cap hit will counteract that a bit. Don't necessarily expect it, but hoping for it.

It's possible. But with the reports of a sellers market and seeing what other guys are going for, it's far more likely that Donato has multiple bidders and KD is pitting them against each other trying to get the best offer.

Donato has improved his skating this year and has every reason to go balls out to get every dollar he can this summer.

lowkey claiming Vrana also helps us control the market

a team might want to grab him as their goal scorer acquisition, instead of making a trade

if Chicago takes him off the board it leaves more teams hungry for Donato

no way you keep Donato. He's having a career season at 28. Brutal decision if they do (i guess we'll never know what was on the table but I cant see us not getting at least a second)

The team needs to show improvement next year. You can't just run out a team of kids and awful veterans again. They have crazy space and he's been good. If he wants crazy term or something then no but if you're bringing him back at 6x2 or something who cares.

Really likely they are playing in the Ehlers and Boeser market when Marner and Rants don't hit the market.

He's about to be 29 and he's having the best season of his career -- one that he's likely not ever going to replicate given the opportunity for premium icetime he's gotten in CHI. He should 100% be looking for term. This is his best (and last?) shot at a long term deal.

Yeah he probably is looking for term and I'm not interested in term but I'm still interested in bringing him back at the right price and deal for us.

a 2026 2nd is pretty much the bare minimum we'll see

It's fine if that's all we get, but I expect more given the trades we've been seeing
If a 2nd is truely his value. I am packing up one of our 7 2nd rounders in the next 3 drafts and holding out for a 1st
