Welp, I'm very impressed that the Oilers are back in the finals with this squad. Being around McDavid must give everyone a boost. Quite a start to Knoblauch's career as well. Go tear their heart out again, Florida.

I think Florida will win it again, but I wouldn’t mind Edmonton winning this one.

McDavid is so good and carries the team so often. He deserves it. And Perry has really played well.

Plus the sooner they win a cup the sooner they will return to mediocrity.

Blaming coaching in most cases is stupid. Everyone seems to think Maurice is great no? Took him 30 years to win a Cup. Deboer elevates every single team he comes across.

Does he have his faults? Sure. Namely his lapdog Steve Spott and as we saw tonight he doesn't have a lot of trust in goalies.

Didn’t care too much about the outcome between Stars and Jets, but I liked the Stars a bit better and was mostly rooting for a Canes vs Stars final. Hoping the will happen and I’m absolutely not worried about the Oilers racking up scoring chances against one terrible and one mediocre team. That said, it’s been a bit a habit that both teams I preferred from the conference finals ended up losing, so…

This is my feeling as well. Canada needs a Cup. The best player in hockey needs a Cup. Perry has earned another Cup. It's been a long time and what a celebration it will be.

Corey Perry scoring the series clinching goal against Florida would be nice. Then Perry decides he wants to stick around as long as Chelios and play into his 50s for the Ducks as they return the playoffs with Perry.
Canada formally gives Perry his own get out of jail free card in Canada (only small petty offenses and misdemeanors). His hometown names the street he grew up on Corey Perry Way.

As much as people might not like this year’s playoffs, my wife asked me today when hockey was on. I told her Wednesday.

She said she misses our hockey evenings.

In a couple weeks we will all miss it.

I will never cheer for a team in my team's division in any sport - especially when their fans are as annoying as Oilers fans. Not to mention being gifted four number one picks including a generational player. They're basically a league mandated contender. f*** them. I respect Florida's path to success much more.
