the only team i'd consider a rival at this point are the kings and that's only because geographics. this team hasn't been good enough for a while to have any proper rivals

i'd say our biggest rivals back in the day were the wings and stars, but realignment changed that. during their 2010s playoff runs, i think there were rivalries with the flames and preds because of multiple playoff matchups. that was the last time there were any true ducks rivals

Are tanking rivals consider rivals ? The year they were trying to secure top3 for Carlsson/Fantill/Bedard vs San Jose and Chicago.

I don't feel like the Oilers have been a strong rival at all, we've had like one contentious series against them and that's basically it. I feel like Dallas has been much more of one over the years and they've had players like Ribeiro, Robidas, Eriksson, Garbutt, Roussell, etc who have either been dirty and/or thorns in our side haha. I guess there's not much more to say, just that i unequivocally disagree with a lot of folks on the Stars lol.

People hate teams for various reasons. I hate Dallas and have for quite a while. Maybe after Benn is gone I’ll change my opinion.

Our twin boys live in AZ. If the Ducks left Anaheim. I’d probably root for Utah.

I really dont think there is a good enough market to trade Gibson in... if we moved him....were prob getting something similar to what fowler got....

I still think Detroit should be interested in him. He would be a perfect bridge to Cossa/Augustine, while also making them more competitive in the short term. I’d gladly do a Gibson for Mrazek+ swap.

I also found it curious that Friedman reported there was some frustration from all parties when Gibson wasn’t moved at the deadline AND the only deal the Red Wings made was at the last minute for a goalie (Mrazek). I feel like there might have been something there.

Robertson got only his 2nd goal in playoffs tonight, he's terrible in the playoffs this year but 80 points in 82 regular season games.
6'3 so it isnt like he's small like Carolina players.

Stars had a lot of guys that just played so well against the Ducks specifically it felt like. There was a relatively short period where it just felt like they owned us and the 2008 playoff series was kind of emblematic of that period.

Steve Ott is another lovely guy that played for the Stars

The Stars have never had a shortage of assholes playing for them, but they’re mostly cleared out now except for Benn.

That one series where Getzy got smashed in the face with the puck then Garbutthole and Roussel were constantly gloved punching him after whistles the next game drove me BANANAS.
