2025 NHL Playoffs

I feel bad for Stolarz. Not that it's Woll's fault the Leafs are the Leafs, but having to watch from the press box through no fault of your own while your team does that has to suck extra.

Maurice wouldn’t ice Ross Johnston. I love toughness, but guys have to do more than staged fights.
Everyone is posting their ideal next season lineups the 4th line commonly is
Nesterenko walse Killorn
Does that look like any toughness? I don't mind replacing Johnston with someone more skilled but still can fight anyone ala Des but not for a soft 4th liner like what's being posted

That wouldn't be my 4th line. I agree with you on toughness, would love to sign Bennett.

Marchand and Maurice in their interviews kind of blasting Toronto fans and media for putting too much pressure on their team. Or at least appreciating that the Leafs have to deal with too much unnecessary pressure.
Tbh I respect and trust those guys, they propably know what they talking about.

hate to say it, but i hope the oilers win it all. only because i'm petty and would hate to see the stars, canes, or panthers have more cups than the ducks

I'm fine with Oilers. Seeing Perry finally lift another one would be amazing, would be happy for Rico too. McDrai are incredible players, would be happy to see them rewarded.
But I think Stars are beating them fairly easilly. Tbh I'm ok with Stars winning. They have a very very good roster, they are big and skilles with stars in every position. I have heard their org is doing some good things too so whatever, I'm fine.

There’s more saliva coming out of his mouth than sweat in his hair. Maybe a motivational speech like that would work better with a couple more speed bursts.

Ideal or realistic 4th lines ? Because there is a big difference.

Also here’s an excerpt about Washe.

“But what scouts and NHL teams find the most alluring about Washe is his physical game. His offensive improvement this season is notable and helping his case, but he projects like a future third-line center that matches up against your opponent's top line. He's tenacious in puck pursuit, limits gaps like a defensemen, and plays the body every chance he gets.”

Also here’s an article on Killorn having a rod inserted into his leg after breaking his leg in game 1 of the SCF to play if the series went 6 or 7 games. He may not be a wrecking ball, but that is the epitome of toughness is my book.

Nesterenko also had 46 hits in 20 games in 10:19 of ice time, scoring 4 goals. That’s 189 hits and 16 goal averages for 82 games for your 4th line left winger. After gudas and his 261 hits, Vats was 2nd on our team with 169 hits. Although Johnston had more hits per game, and Harkins was close.

This isn’t to say this is my ideal 4th line, I just don’t know what it is you want, and how easy it is to get that.

What does “toughness” mean to you ? And in terms of adding to a 4th line, do you need to average 3 hits a game in under 10 minutes of ATOI ? Do you need 1 fight every 3-4 games ? Do you need to finish ever check in the regular season like game 7 of the SCF ?

I agree a tough 4th line is ideal, I just don’t know what your ideal 4th line would be ? So I can understand better.
