2025 NHL Playoff Thread (Non-Panthers)

on the flip side btw, i think we're quick to give deboer the credit for being 9-0 in game 7s but i actually think they lose that if rantanen doesn't put the team on his back. realistically, he'd pulled every lever he could by the midway point of the 3rd. i love deboer, was a champion/defender when he was here and i believe he's one of the best in the business but sometimes the narrative gets ahead of reality.

you can't blame monty for that. they played a great game. a couple of guys made poor decisions that really cost them in the last couple of minutes but before that, the blues had played a perfect game.

exciting couple of game 7s in any event.
Ill just say I wouldnt have Ryan Suter out there to hold a lead. Not in this stage of his career. But thats just me.

And on the other side of that coin, I am also shitposting so nothing I mean is everything I say.

ha! well, was just listening to last night's PDOcast on the game and they were running through D minutes. he played 16 minutes in a 2OT game. i don't know how many shifts he got in the 3rd but it couldn't have been that many.

I know the goal to make it 3-2 Suter was in there and the puck went off his skate trying to block a pass lol.

I guarantee you everyone here would be losing their shit if we had Uvis or Nate out there holding a lead in the final moments
