Prospect Info: 2025 NHL Entry Draft

If the Ducks are in the back half of the top 10, I think Frondell becomes a rather compelling pick. I have him at 5 on my board. Point total isn't very impressive but I think injuries slowed the start of his season and he has good details and a decent frame. I think he will have a decent back half, had a good game against the US at the 5 nations last night too.

Right now Senneke is ahead but that's because Senneke went through a hot streak while Martone is battling an injury.

Although they're both '06 births, Sennecke was born in Jan and Martone in Oct. That's about a nine month difference.

Still, this is a good question. Sennecke is still growing into his body whereas Martone's physical growth is further advanced. Because Martone is more physically advanced, he was able to maximize his skills earlier than Sennecke. We really don't know how much more physical growth there is to Sennecke. What Sennecke does have going for him is his skating is better than Martone's and Sennecke's small area skills still exists as a bigger player.

I think they're both very good offensive players. Martone is younger than Sennecke by nine months. Hmmm... I wonder if Cayden Lindstrom didn't have back problems, then who would have the Ducks picked between Sennecke or Lindstrom? Lindstrom is kinda like Martone.

Possibly still Sennecke because Verbeek loves elite hockey IQ. it'd be a lot closer.
 
Misa is really taking it to another level. He's making it difficult to justify having Hagens ahead of him. You would really have to convinced that Hagens has a much higher offensive ceiling and I just don't see it.
Misa will be better at everything else and I don't see any forward trumping him offensively either. This draft may have a distinct top 2 (Schaefer/Misa).
 
I want to like Martone, but the more I watch the more I see red flags. He’s got extremely heavy feet.

Has great hands and solid hockey IQ, If he’s going to be a superstar, he’s going to have to be a nose for the net type guy like Corey Perry

A potential late riser is a left shooting forward from Russia in Ivan Ryabkin. He made the jump from Russia to NA mid-season and is currently playing in the USHL with Muskegon. He's like a scoring machine in the USHL. In 11 USHL games, he's scored 8g + 5a. His 8 goals has him tied for 8th in goal scoring on the team with the highest goal scorer at 17 goals in 41 games.

If Ryabkin keeps piling on points and more scouts are able to see his game live for the rest of the USHL season, then that could be a player the Ducks could target. Although, I'm not sure of his plan after playing in the USHL. If he goes the NCAA route, then the Ducks might bypass him.

I don't necessarily disagree with your post, but referring to Ryabkin as a late riser is kind of funny, in a sense. I would say if he keeps this up he or increases production I would say he has a chance to become more of a "late redeemer".

Still I think he will have a hard time convincing scouts he is worth the squeeze, seems to be character and work ethic questions with him, doesnt help he came into his draft year overweight.

I wouldn't expect him to go to the NCAA considering he has played in both the KHL and VHL.

I doubt Ryabkin is anywhere close to any pick that we currently own.

This seems to be the opinion gaining traction among scouts too.

McTavish/Proczyn/Pastujov
Sidorov/Gaucher/Colangelo

Unfortunately, there is a very good chance that SJ will get him instead adding to an increasing arsenal of outstanding forward prospects.

I think its safe to assume our mangement/scouts are going to love Martone and think he would be a great fit here.... but i dont know that well be drafting high enough to grab him(unless we trade up).
