Kanata ,ON
Its solidified. We know 4 of the top 5, that ain't changing just the order.
Oh it is, it just helps put that little bit of extra separation.

Who are the consensus Top 5 at the moment because that's where we'll be drafting this year. Martone, Schaefer...
The consensus seem to be Schaefer, Hagens, Martone, Misa, Frondell, in varying order.

Is it true that there's huge drop in terms of talent after top 5 (Hagens, Schaffer, Martone, Misa, Frondell) ?

Not really, Eklund is skilled but small, one D could probably climb the rank also

Personnaly if Shaffer and Hagens are gone and if Mtl see more Misa as a winger, i would try to trade the pick for a top D(Andersson) or young C in their 20-25

Michael Misa with 2G and 2A tonight in a 7-6 win over Guelph.

Misa is 29-29-58 in 28 GP now.

Alex McLean did the same for Guelph, a 2008 C to watch.
5-10 and 1/2 ppg, not sure what you mean by C to watch, did you mean 3 line C?

No consensus #5

Schaefer and Hagens battle for 1.
Martone and Misa battle for 3rd.
misa beats everyone, like destroys, his game will translate the best in the nhl, if I have 1st pick I go with misa

If we win the lottery you have to go with bpa and not .. need

Always hard to compare a center and a d.

But...

I can see easily Shaeffer becoming a Top 3 d in the entire NHL.

I don't see Hagens becoming a top 3 center....

Not close for me between Shaeffer and Hagens.

If we finish #2 we should be able to get Schaeffer.

I think hawks get #1 and they go forward this time

Hagens or Frondell for me. We need to solve the top 2 center issue once and for all. I’ve lost faith in Dach being part of the solution at C. Yeah, I know, “need,” but you can’t win in the NHL without two top top 6 centers (and a 1D probsbly). Shaeffer is third on my list.

Misa is on pace for 68 goals and 71 assists (139 PTS) in 66 GP.

These are on pace with some of the highest draft eligible player stats in the OHL in a while

Connor McDavid had 44 goals and 76 assists for 120 points in 47 GP in 2014-2015
John Tavares had 58 goals, 46 assists for 104 points in 56 GP in 2008-2009
Steven Stamkos had 57 goals and 47 assists for 105 points in 61 GP in 2007-2008
Patrick Kane had 62 goals and 83 assists for 145 points in 58 GP in 2006-2007

To be clear, i'm not saying he will be as successful as these players, but his stats are fantastic.

And yet, if scouts thought this would project as well to the NHL, you’d think he’d be the uncontested 1OA pick but I’ve yet to see that in regard to him.
