I think the only draft i wanted the 1st overall more than this year is Bedard. There is never a certitude with prospects, but Schaefer is damned close to a sure 1D. It would be such a homerun to gain a top D on the league

I love Demidov but Celebrini was a surefire elite two way 1C, hard to beat that either

TBH, 5ft7 might even be padding it a bit. Seeing him standing next to the other guys last night, he looked even smaller than that.

Problem is, some are talking of Desnoyers as if he's on par with the top 4.

Yeah, he's not close.

You can make an argument for him against McQueen and Frondell.

Ive watched the same game, and think the opposite. He’s not a slam dunk to play center

Yes, Bedard is fantastic.

But I'm very happy with Slaf and Demidov. Slaf is a very rare total package, high offensive skill with great two-way ability potential + physical attribute and Demidov, to me worth a very solid 1st overall pick. (They are both bigger than Bedard aswell), we have already a small guy in Caufield. Who play really well this year. Caufield is also a very talented forward.

I think Habs nailed it with selection of Slaf and Demidov, they are going to dominate in NHL.

There's not a player slated in the top 4 that wouldn't immediately improve our offensive outlook.
