B`s are playing the kind of hockey that gets them a Cole Reschny in the first round:D
I would have no problem with the B's trading Carlo, Geekie, Freddy, and either Coyle or Zacha for picks and bring up Baby B's to fill spots and play out the year! If we make it to the POs great, if not good draft position, it's a win win.

January Red Line

1. Matthew Schaefer (Inj)
2. James Hagens
3. Michael Misa
4. Porter Martone
5. Anton Frondell
6. Caleb Desnoyers
7. Malcolm Spence
8. Radim Mrtka
9. Roger McQueen (Inj)
10. Joshua Ravensbergen

Redline very lukewarm with this draft

Interesting paragraph talking about the WJC
"Kazakhstan which contained zeros drafted skaters and was easily relegated to D-2 for next year ,had 3 players in the top 60 scoring leaders
,Canada with 20 drafted players including 10 first rounders had zero

My personal opinion on this year's draft is it appears to be slightly below average, especially the top 10, however, I won't complain if we end up with multiple firsts and seconds, again my opinion but there doesn't seem to be much drop-off from say early 2nd to late 4th, early 5th
Ways to go with tournaments, playoffs and of course the combine

What’s everyone feel about the bruins scouting department. Seems like most of them have been around a while….upwards of 10 years. I quite frankly question the results but what do I know

They haven't had much to work with to be honest though a change in philosophy should be debated

I've been watching a bit of video on these guys and some thoughts on the centers...
  • Misa is going to be a star. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes 1st overall.
  • Martone isn't a center but he's a legit 1st liner with skill and attitude.
  • Desnoyers is real complete, battles, hits, great passer, but I haven't seen him carry the puck a ton (yet) so I wonder if he's a play driver.
  • McQueen is another Tage Thompson type. Huge, strong, fast, fluid, good hands, likes to carry... he's just injured so it's hard to know where he'd be if healthy.
  • Jake O'Brien looks really high-end in terms of vision and sense but also the least physically mature, he's 6'2 but maybe 160 pounds. Putting up big numbers.
  • Carter Bear is a hard one to figure out. He's older than these other guys, he'll be 19 in November so you wonder if you should look at his stats more like a Draft +1 year. That said, he's the honey badger of this group. Not that big but super competitive, high motor, battles for body position, wins loose pucks just super determined.

They've seen a lot of Desnoyers while keeping an eye on Loke Johansson in Moncton. And yes he is a big time driver.
