Who should we pick 3rd overall (assuming Schaefer and Misa are gone)?

According to whtI I thought I heard frron Bob McKenzie giving his final rankings gleaned from a poll of 10 actual different NHL teams' scouts,was that only Misa and Martone anong the top forwards are projected as top line potential players ...

The other top forwards are considered onlyv
good 2nd line potential players with not much separation as to their rank...pick em ..

In the ranking Schaefer consensus #1and MISA got 9/10 for #2...after that not much consensus over place in rankings...but tabulating from his he had

Martone #3
Frondell#4
O'brien#5
Desnoyers#6
Hagens #7
Martin #8


While all from#4 tgrough #8 are considered Centers,they can play wing ...but probably Desnoyers and O'brien ate seen mostly asprojectibg ad Cebters for different reasons....Hagebs too...I think you can make cases for Frondell and Martin as 2bd line winger potential.

I have posted before why I lije Brady Martin over Frobdell abd woukd take hom...but now I see both as only considered help for Nazar and Martone as the lone hope to help Bedard on line 1 as his winger.

Now maybe Martone never sticks as tge line 1 high expectation help for Bedard..

But tgexsperx and pace Nazar pkays with in contrast coukd means bad fit for Nazar if Martone ever got demoted off kinec1.

To me Marton is a goid for Nazar except forctge faceoff issue.. If Frank can handle draws hknself thatbecobesvkess of an issue.

I do not think Frkbdelk has the speed or pace that fits with Nazar.
Now IF tgey thi no Nazar is not the long term 2C...then maybecthey go Drsnoyers or O'brien...though Gain a Sam Bennett type butcwoth a better 1 tiner that Martin is coukd work ...the chaos Marin can create with his physicality can Benefit Nazar I think who matter which one pkays Cebteror takes draws

High on Frkbdelk vs.All these other candidates for#3.

I woukd prefer Martonevor Martin...

From a team need of More Jam in the top six..but Jam with scoribg,that is Martin.
However if the top objective is to get tge best for for Bedard...that is probably Martone .

You wish Martone had a better first step and extra gear and was more e consistently physical... .but he is so skilled and a good playmaker that IF he hitsxhis kinec1 litentiak that will make Bedard into that 40+goal 100+ pints giy we akk thought he coujd be..

Martone shoujd be tge pick unless KD just thinks the first fewxateo issues are to great to fix and tgat thisx1 thing is too great s problem for him to overlook


However soone feel that with a goid skatibg coach Martone will omprovevjosxskatibg issues.


KD didcstatecthat Hawks coukd govaway from the type of players they have prioritized i recent drafts (goidcsjatingvas a priority) so maybe we do get Martone.afterxall.

However NEITHER IS FRONDELL a great skater eitger.
 
So I have not done any watching of Misa at all because he was unattainable. What’s his deal? Is he a for sure center? Is he physical? What’s his comp/projection.

Been watching so much Frondell man I really feel like I “get” him and his hype. The media scouts really miss in their evaluations of him and I grew to like him so much I’m kind of bummed he might go at 2.

Misa is very skilled , he can play Center or wing .Speedy talented , can shoot and pass. Compared to Tyler Seguin , I would agree (Left Shot though ). He's somewhat physical , nothing like Frondell.

For the people who remember what Keith looked like as a rookie - they're doing Rinzel a disservice by that comparison. And I'm not saying that Rinzel is a guaranteed first ballet HOF'er who is going to be better than Keith. Just saying that Keith at 21 wasn't the polished player he was at 28. Add the fact that Rinzel will certainly add more muscle/strength to his frame, and the sky is the limit IMO.

During Bob's broadcast, he sure made it seem like scouts see him as a 1C.

Personally I think he'll be an elite wing.

I'd say he's physical. Not in a bruiser sort of way, but he's a good net front presence. Battles in front and cleans up rebounds + deflections.

btw, first OHL draft year player to hit 60 goals since Patrick Kane.

The Greatest curve ball will be the Isles taking Hagens, the Sharks taking Frondell, and both Schaefer and Misa sitting there at 3.....
