I'd be so down. That’s why I really want to trade up and grab McQueen. Take whoever we’re going to take at three, and then swing for the fences.

Scout 2: “We have Schaefer, then a gap. (Anton) Frondell is No. 2 for us. He’s a potential (Aleksander) Barkov/(Anze) Kopitar type of forward.”
Scout 3: “(Michael) Misa should be No. 1, even ahead of Schaefer. I don’t understand why he’s not getting as much hype as previous top OHL guys, when he’s been just as good, if not better, than some of the top Ontario kids in recent years. He could be an NHL superstar.”
Scout 4: “Schaefer is the top player by a good margin, then it would either be Frondell or Hagens. Misa I think is getting overrated — his compete level is average and he’s not as dynamic as some portray.”
Executive 4: “Schaefer and Misa distinguished themselves from the pack. Then it’s Desnoyers and Frondell in a group with Martone on the edge of that group. I expect that combination of players will make up the first five picks.”
Ok so what is he going to do then? Yes, Levshunov leaked last year but I think there was strategy behind that as he wanted to trade up for Demidov later. Everyone knew that Celebrini was going 1st and he'd be able to take anyone else after that. So he made sure every GM knew he was taking Levshunov so they know he would be gone, then sneak back in and snag Demidov. It didn't work but it I can see the logic.KD is not a bluffer. He is very easy to read. All our picks get leaked. He’s basically Bad Brad from Mollys Game
Korchinski, Nazar, Rinzel, Oliver Moore, Boisvert, etc were not leaked iircKD is not a bluffer. He is very easy to read. All our picks get leaked. He’s basically Bad Brad from Mollys Game
Would make sense for SJ. Sharks have high end center depth in the pipeline. Martone could very very easily become the most productive player in this draft if sharks or hawks are patient and he plays on CB98 or mc71's wing.I would not be surprised to see the Sharks take Martone if the Isles take Schaefer.
Or ...the Isles take Hagens the Sharks take Schaefer and we take Misa...
KD is probably hoping for either scenario to play out, maybe NYI take Hagens and reunite him with Cole EisermanI would not be surprised to see the Sharks take Martone if the Isles take Schaefer.

I wonder if the Hawks do 3, 25 and 2026 FLA 1st looking at the TOR/FLA picks as house money essentially and use it on the forward they have the most conviction inTab Bamford just mocked that the Hawks trade 3OA, Reichel, and FLA's 26 1st for 1OA. I don't think the Isles would take that. They might if they add one the the young D to that package though. Maybe Allan or Kaiser?
Funny, I had the same reaction to Executive 4scout 2 works for Chicago
Executive 3 knows what's up.NHL scouts and executives disagree with the internet guru’s.
Corey Pronman just released his NHL draft confidential for those of you who have an athletic sub. It’s a fantastic read.
I’ll say this, after Schaefer there really isn’t a consensus. Several scouts had a combination of Hagens, Misa, Frondell, Desnoyers and one even said Martone. (As their second prospect)
I don’t really like Pronman but that article was 10/10.
Maybe. Could be the same Hawks scout that last year said he never saw Levsunov never get beat one-on-one. My jaw dropped.scout 2 works for Chicago
Boisvert was linked to the Blackhawks by some random guy but it was rinkrat gossip like "oh the Blackhawks USHL scouts love Boisvert", it wasn't from the executive side of things.Korchinski, Nazar, Rinzel, Oliver Moore, Boisvert, etc were not leaked iirc

Yeah. But Davidson leaked his pants when Moore became available after trying to trade up for him.Korchinski, Nazar, Rinzel, Oliver Moore, Boisvert, etc were not leaked iirc
Watch the Doneghey interview with CHGO a few years ago, didn't sound like they're big into this type of stuff with prospect interviews...the bus questionSo on TSN 1200 radio today Ottawa they asked their chief scout what was the big question they asked the prosoects to trow them off their comfort zone...He said tgey asked the prospects to tell a joke.. said pnlyv 5 even tried to ell a joke out of 73 they met with!He said we told all who coukd not tell a joke that they Faiked(jokingly).
He said 4 of thev5 who tried a joke were not even funny.
If KD and hus scoutszaskedctgese kids to tell a joke ,a scorevof100 woukd ge given IF thecaserxwas:
"The Chicago Blackhawjsxareca joke...until I got there" which is the best possible answer to a joke .
Executive 3: “Schaefer and Misa are clearly ahead of the rest of the pack. Then it would be some order of Hagens, (Jake) O’Brien and Martone. Desnoyers and Frondell are nice players, but we worry about their offensive upside.”
Scout 5: “Martone is the best forward in this draft, and I think in the playoffs he will show he has as much value as Schaefer. He’s a competitor who plays a style that will translate to success when the chips are down.”
Scout 7: “It goes Schaefer, then O’Brien, and then Frondell. O’Brien is so talented, has a lot of upside, and a lot of physical development left to go.”
Executive 5: “After Schaefer/Misa, Brady Martin is right in the mix with that next group, may even be at the top. He looks very similar to what Sam Bennett has become.”
Scout 11: “Schaefer is the best player in the draft, then I would have Desnoyers at 2. He does so much well, he could be a player you build around.”
Executive 1: “Ravensbergen is a late one/high two type of goalie. The two Russian goalies, Semyon Frolov and Pyotr Andreyanov, look so good on video. If we felt comfortable taking Russians, we would have them as second-round picks."
That's why I like Cam Robinson's poll articles. He says he is looking for disagreement but clearly communicates where the consensus's are.Lol come on. I'm reading that article, and there is literally one opinion for every single guy mentioned:
Either this is the single most unknown draft ever and even after years of scouting these people have completely different opinions one to another, or these quotes are extremely cherry picked (to say it diplomatically).
And the icing on the cake:

I think it truly is a murky draft with a lot of appealing but clearly flawed players in the top 10. Honestly though there is more consensus in that article than there was in the version Pronman put out last year. Like there was virtually no agreement beyond Celebrini being a lock at #1.Lol come on. I always think there's chess being played whenever these insiders spill the beans on their boards and evaluations. I won't be convinced otherwise.Lol come on. I'm reading that article, and there is literally one opinion for every single guy mentioned:
