I wonder how high they could get by moving 25+34? (agree with @Mrfenn92 on moving 3)
If McQueen falls into the mid-teens is that enough?
It’s just three guys who constantly post and that Twitter boostsTwitter is mad. Uh oh.
Timeline is similar to the 00s Hawks, but they got Kane in 2003 instead of 2007.Getting sick of people saying the Hawks rebuild is going to be the next Sabres because they are taking it slow but the two teams in back to back SCF cores/top players are pretty much all drafted around 7 to 10+ years ago.
Of course I hope it doesn't take as long as that but damn let the kids develop. form a core, and see what they can do before comparing it.
Ironically neither of those attempts at aggression actually came to fruition but I see your point. Columbus said no and they got Moore with the pick they originally had despite trying to trade up to draft him. I'm curious what they were offering teams to trade up for Moore. And which prospect or draft picks it would have cost them.We have seen the Hawks get aggressive with draftees they like. Tried it with Moore and Demidov. Didn't work, but maybe this time it will.
Great. They had a seat at the table. Where have we heard this before? We have seen the Hawks get aggressive with draftees they like. Tried it with Moore and Demidov. Didn't work, but maybe this time it will.
paying Korchinski to move from Martone/Hagens/Frondell/Desnoyers to Misa seems steepRegarding trading up. I want Porter Martone with the Hawks top pick and wouldn't move up. But if the Hawks prefer Misa - then ok. If they want to move the #25 or Korchinski along with the #3, then do it I guess.
I think moving up to 1 is doable because the gap isn't huge this year. It probably wouldn't cost a lot either.paying Korchinski to move from Martone/Hagens/Frondell/Desnoyers to Misa seems steep
I’d be pissed if they drafted Misa first overallI think moving up to 1 is doable because the gap isn't huge this year. It probably wouldn't cost a lot either.
Hawks get Misa, Sharks get Schaefer, Isles get Hagens. Everyone wins.
It probably only costs them 25 and maybe 34.
I'm with you btwKeep 3, 25, and 34.
English isn't my first language but isn't that same thing.I never delegitimized his opinion because he never played hockey. I simply pointed out that the fact he never played hockey lines up with how horrible his opinions are.

Hawks are better off letting SJ trade up to 1 and maybe NYI will be content with the return from SJ to just take Hagens at 2, the field vs Misa for Chicago is a different situation than the field vs Schaefer for SJ, Hawks do not lose nearly as much as SJ if NYI stick and pick Schaefer...but maybe SJ doesn't really care that much about Schaefer to incentivize them to play the gameThis is a fascinating case of game theory between NYI, SJ and CHI
Let's operate under the assumption that right now basically none of the 3 are getting their ideal scenario. NYI, I'm sure would love to get substantial futures and draft Hagens. I have to imagine that is their 1A scenario. Defensemen are hard pills to swallow at 1.
SJ NEEDS Schaefer
Hawks NEED MISA. If Hawks trade to 1, then SJ wins for free and Chicago wins for a huge price. SJ is the true winner of a CHI trade to 1.
If SJ moves to 1, SJ wins for a huge price and NYI wins.
If Hawks move to 2 Hawks win for a price.
In my head the optimal scenario for everyone is for SJ to move to 1, then for NYI to trade 2 to Chicago. NYI gets double returns and their guy, SJ gets their guy, and Chi gets their guy.
My brain is starting to hurt.
