my best case scenario is i go into about a month long coma in the next few days so i can wake up and have this nonsense behind me.
what was his consensus rank when the season ended for him? there is more than just Bob's listHagens himself played another three months of hockey after the January list came out. No reason to purposely use a list that was compiled with incomplete information. All that does is open you up to other sorts of biases and narratives
Based on only this ESPN data point, I would take Hagens unless McQueen health issues are cleared by the Dr's. Both upside to top line C with Hagens floor as a #2C![]()

There is no hockey left to be played this season for the top players available June 27-28. Here's how they stack up.www.espn.com

and i haven't for the most part, have i? you don't have to be an emotionally unstable liar either, so we're all guilty of doing unnecessary things from time to time. You don't have to participate in the conversation
Too bogged down in comparison.
One guy says "he reminds me of Barkov" next guy says "he reminds me more of Lundell", then turns into a debate on if you'd knowingly draft Lundell third overall. I guess interesting but in the end Frondell is Frondell, he could be closer to Barkov's level, closer to Lundell's closer, or just be neither.
I agree with this more and more each day. Just not much to differentiate in this draft. Wandering if the covid lockdown has something to do with hat?People saying I hate drafting 3rd as if Misa is miles ahead of the other possible selections in this draft, I just dont think thats the case, at all.
Levshunov was consensus 3rd on the McKenzie list with 3/10 having him rated 2nd.A decent portion of public rankings last year didn't have Levshunov in the top 5, oh how soon we forget. He was absolutely a polarizing prospect for those who didn't think he was top pick material. While for Demidov the folks who didn't have him at 2/3 almost all had him top 5.
Hawks are going to take their guy. If there's a draft where your scouts want to go off the board a bit this is one of them.
In the case of Demidov, he is, in the eyes of our scouting panel, the clear consensus No. 2 choice behind Celebrini. Six of the 10 scouts surveyed had him at No. 2. All 10 had him in their top five. No other prospect in the draft, save Celebrini, had Top 5 unanimity.
Not No. 3 ranked Artyom Levshunov, the Belarussian freshman defenceman from Michigan State University, who was close (three votes at No. 2 and eight of 10 votes in the Top 5), or No. 4 ranked Silayev or No. 5 ranked Medicine Hat Tiger centre Cayden Lindstrom (each of whom had seven of 10 votes in the Top 5).
Levshunov was consensus 3rd on the McKenzie list with 3/10 having him rated 2nd.

Bob McKenzie's Final NHL Draft Ranking: Many attractive and diverse options after Macklin Celebrini | TSN
This year’s final ranking, from No. 2 on, is much more challenging to assemble because of two factors - many more divergent opinions and variance on even the top 10 picks and two Russians forcing their way into the conversation in the upper echelon.www.tsn.ca
Just going off the 17 draft rankings linked in elite prospects that include both Lev & Demidov:
Of the 17 rankings for Demidov:
13 have him 2nd.
3 have him 3rd.
1 has him at 7.
For Lev:
4 have him 2nd
4 have him 3rd
2 have him 4th
7 rankings have him between 6-11 (out of the top 5).
In terms of rank choice Demidov is overwhelmingly the favorite of these published rankings at 2nd overall.
Less than 50% of the rankings for Levshunov have him in the top 3 whereas 95% of the rankings have Demidov top 3. 40% of the rankings don't have Levshunov in the top 5.
He's kind of just above average in most if not all areas and when you combine that with his skating and insane production this season he's pretty easily the safest pick at 2 (and would be mine). I'd certainly bet on the field to produce the second best player from this draft though. I dont see any elite qualities (Frondell's shot, O'Brien's Ozone creativity/passing, etc.) in him.People saying I hate drafting 3rd as if Misa is miles ahead of the other possible selections in this draft, I just dont think thats the case, at all.
This draft class was 14/15 during the lockdown, so IMO there has been plenty of time to adapt and it shouldn’t be an issue at this point.I agree with this more and more each day. Just not much to differentiate in this draft. Wandering if the covid lockdown has something to do with hat?
pretty sure MTL did the same thing with Demidov when his agent hosted something for him to meet with teamsDoesn’t mean much. I don’t think the Ducks had dinner with Sennecke last year.
If Misa were to fall to third there’s still a very good chance the Hawks take him. They just likely aren’t counting on it right now.
You win with these types of players in the playoffs.
They also might want to make it seem like they're not super interested in him, in case there are trade talks with NYI or SJ.Doesn’t mean much. I don’t think the Ducks had dinner with Sennecke last year.

It would be high for sure.like Martin but not at 3...
It would be high for sure.
But it wouldn't make me upset either.
