He's 34, and there are a lot of really talented children playing in the CHL, some that could be playing in the NHL this year, something Kruger couldn't do.

lol, the CHL has a lot of great players in it, most of them are draft picks in the NHL. Marcus Kruger would have a tough time in the CHL at his age/situation.

What? Kruger would dominate the CHL, especially defensively.

And yes, there are a lot of great players but there are way more terrible players.

He’s played pro hockey for just about as long as those kids have been alive.

The pace of play is higher in hockeyallsvenskan in which Kruger is a top, top player. He’d dominate the CHL.

I dont see it happening, he struggled to take a shift in the NHL 5+ years ago. The best CHL players would be capable to good NHLers right now.

Not really. I just dont think a league with Kruger as one of its top scorers is a league to rave about. Easton Cowan would be a top scorer in the SHL. Victor Eklund would be a pretty good player in the CHL, not the best, but say top 50, yet he's a top 10 goal scorer in the SHL, and had a better points per game than Kruger.

What I said is probably hyperbole, with slight truth to it.

I'm not even raving about it you said he'd have a tough time in the CHL. Was never a Kruger truther he was a good fourth line center in the show. He'd feast in the CHL my man.

Eklund was top 10 in goals in the second division, not the SHL.

And he'd easily be among the best players in the OHL. Better than O'Brien and Martin.

There's been 1 player I can find that finished top 10 in scoring, to come out of SWE-1 in the last 10 years, that has come to the NHL and been a good player in the NHL. (Elias Petersson). I clearly don't know much about the league I guess, but that seems telling to me that it's not a great league.

The CHL produces some insane talent. Undoubtedly. A 28 year old man that has been paid to play hockey for a decade is going to beat the brakes off of the the very good Canadian seventeen year old.

To compare Martone to Perry is way off. Perry was goal scorer and physical player, none that Martone is. Martone compares as Dylan Strome but on the wing.

Martone screams Eric Daze to me. Great shot, different shooter, more James Neal without the snarl. That's not the guy you want at 3.
