No. Players rights never go for that much.
I hope to GOD you are right . We need to keep all our picks and draft huge humans up front for our future long playoff run's .

#3 overall #25 overall #34 overall #58 overall #66 overall #98 overall #109 overall
Shane Vansaghi, RW, Michigan State University (NCAA) Will he last until 58 ?
. Jakob Ihs-Wozniak, RW, Luleå HF J20 (J20 Nationell) He swhould be around at 34 .
Love to walk away from draft with these two guys

With the Leafs losing, 25th is the Hawks

3-Misa-Frondell-Desnoyers
25-Cootes-Kindl-Nesbitt-Moore
34-McKinney-Nestrasil-Gastrin-Ihs-Wozniak

Lardis and James for Howard

Any combination of those players makes for a nice haul.

Mason West , this guy is intriguing . 6' 6" forward born in Seattle , a true 2-sport athlete. He’s captain for Edina High’s hockey team and he’s also the school’s quarterback and he has legit high level potential at both sports. But he’s got to pick one before the NHL combine in a couple of weeks. Grew up Blackhawks fan

Can Nesbitt skate? He looked really slow in U18´s but I only saw one game and can´t say enough about him. He is big though.

Strong no for trading Lardis to get Howard. Rather keep Lardis. I would try something like Misiak + 2nd for Howard.

Absolutely best case scenario after second round has happened for the Blackhawks 2025 draft chances…

Vegas, Washington, Winnipeg and Toronto lost

Meaning the 1st from Toronto in the McCabe trade becomes 25th overall…a la Sam Rinzel in 2022

Now the Oilers need to beat Dallas in the conference finals so the 2nd rounder from the Max Domi deal can be at best 62nd overall

At 62+/-, a spot here or there doesn’t matter. If it is 10+, then yes, it could make a difference.

Tampa will not get much for Howard. They have no leverage. A guy like Lardis is worth way more than Howards rights without any leverage

TB will get a late 2nd comp pick if he doesn't sign so they at least can start the base of any deal at a 2nd. There will be multiple teams with interest and if Howard is willing to sign with multiple teams that will increase value

Both sides have leverage obviously with Howard holding more

Howard can not sign but if he really wants to jump to NHL soon then his camp will want deal to get done and they will need to play ball with TB GM if that is path he ultimately wants. I believe the return to NCAA is not Howard ultimate goal here and that he will want to go to NHL sooner but until trade happens he will keep up the NCAA option for possibility no deal gets done

It makes more sense for TB to seek out a partner and get more favorable deal than late 2027 2nd they are set to receive

I think this ends up with TB either getting young NHL ready player or late 1st/early 2nd + meh prospect in end

We shall see but there are several potential fits for Howard that have picks/young talent to dangle for his rights if he is willing to sign with them

Only a team's 1st rder is effected by playoff results .

Every year people pine over this year's McGroarty/Gauthier, and every year we come up empty with not much sign we even threw our hats in the ring. I'm not as stuck on him as some, but this one feels like we have an actual match with the team in question whether it's a 1/2 pick or surplus LHD prospect.

I'd prefer we use our resources to acquire more size to go with the skill, but that's neither here nor there as those guys have much more market competition and a much costlier price tag. The opportunity looks ripe for KD, now he has to do his homework on if Howard would even sign here.

Well that us fine...was worried for awhile Hawks Leafs pick would end 29-32..but with 4 teams who finished below Leafs in League standibgs making it to their Cobference Finality dropped Leafs drFt spot from#29tp#25...Maybectgat need a difference if Hawks try to make a deal with NYI or SJ to move up 2 irx1 spot though do not thoik SJ is interested..But maybeIlses would Hagens at #3 for picks # 25 and#34 as sweeteners?

Or maybe Hawks move up to teens with giving up picks #25 and#34 ...then trade that pick with #3to deL with NYI.

All delebsvif NYI thinks Hagens plus 1 or 2 extra firsts is better for then than alk eggs onto the Schaefer basket ?
The 1 cau tion on Misa if Hawks dova big splash deal to mpvevup is his lousy -16over his latest 10GP ....WTF hPoenedcto Misa ?

He went - 10 n 4 playoff games and was -6 in the 6 final gamescofvhis regularxseason..

So -16 in lastx10GP ...this forxa giy who was at +51 before these last10GP..

Playibg through an injury...hope it was that and not some type of collapse in hisxefgorts 2 ways si tgat hevoblyvtried offebsivelycabdcslacked defensively...because -16 in lastx10GP is just horrendous fir a guy supposed to ve goidx2way player.

Hawjs had better do homework on the reason forcthe defensive fakk off and actualky the offense also went down from 2ppg to justx1.3 pog over this fibal 10GO..

It createsxsinecdoubtcas to why he couk
ld not elevate his gMe but instead fell off hisxsesson ling production and defensive prevention stats so badly I tgese kastx10GP.
It leaves not the best fibal inoression...I hope itvis notca cSe of tLent doing aNarner xwhen it counts the most ...thatvia ekevatibgvyourcteam pastxa finish kibewhen the spotlight is on you,but instead doing the big flower room and ckisibg your season with a whimper andxAvs bad impression left forctge critics watching you abd assessing your performance.

JustcsYing...Mosa Finished poorly in last 10GO vs. alk tge great stuff he brought before les miserables last 10appearances.

Not really sure you’re going to have a definitive BPA at 25. Everyone’s ranking would be so different at that stage of the draft.

Give me more lottery tickets like Boisvert at that pick.

Did this change? I know the draft lottery only impacts the 1st round pick, not picks in subsequent rounds but I'm pretty sure the final draft standings are based on playoff outcome.

In 2010, CHI won the Cup and as a result has the last pick in every round.

Oh don't remind me of that... Little stan traded that pick (who end up being brock Nelson) for Ludvid Rensfeld (no one NHL game) and Kent Simpson who had a cup of Sgt Yamana's coffee in the NHL.

On top of that...Kevin Hayes never signed.. What a fiasco of a draft that was.

Looking at potential trade up partners from 25 and unfortunately I don't see a lot of reason to do it from the likes of Columbus, Philly, or Calgary

The Habs have some cap issues so maybe they could be coaxed into it for a cap dump? Especially if they can guarantee they get whoever their guy is at 16 and have a lot of names they feel comfortable with at 17. Not sure who they would be looking to dump and if it makes sense for the Blackhawks though. I can't imagine they would be happy to part ways with Laine for example in that kind of move.

And obviously St Louis and Nashville aren't going to do it for anything close to fair value

Another factor- when do the Senators have to decide on keeping their pick or not? It's locked in at 21 in a pretty meh draft so I wonder if they consider giving it up this year and keeping next year's. That would effectively make the Leafs pick #24. Or, if they plan to give it up next year, are they willing to trade back four spots for a bit of extra capital a year earlier (Blackhawks' 3rd or Dallas 2nd, maybe?) Wouldn't want to do it blind like KD did last year but if the right name is on the board..?
