Even if he tops out as a Patrick Berglund type, that’s an awesome add. We’re not in control of how strong the draft is. That doesn’t mean we can’t leave the podium with a franchise player

My worry with Martone is the lack of physical play. If he goes to college and hits the weights, he might change. Less worried about his skating, and think it will improve with the right work. His pace of play is more concerning. Combine stats will be telling. College is the key. I keep on seeing a Stome clone on the wing, which probably is why Musto likes him so much.

Desnoyers certainly has the potential to be a 2C. High end 200 ft 3C seems to be his floor. Also would love him to go to college, hit the weights, work on his skating, and fill out a bit. He’s the most likely to stick at center between him and Frondell.

Hagens just seems too small. I’m good with either Desnoyers or Martone.

What would be a fair package to NYI? 3rd + TOR 1st? I wouldn’t do 3rd + Korchinski, personally.

If there's little to no separation between: Hagens, Frondell, Desnoyers, or Martone then I'm not sure NYI would want to risk him being selected at 4th or 5th.

The trade proposals i'm seeing on that sub are ridiculous though. #3 + Lev/Rinzel for #1 OVR

If Scahefers gone, I think SJ would have less of a gap between Misa and Martone et al., than us, so that extra 1st could could be enticing enough.

I'll take Hagens. Misa, Martone and him are the only forwards I see with 1st line potential, except McQueen, but he's too big of a risk at #3.

I have him at 4 behind Schaefer, Misa and Hagens.

It's possible that Frondell could be a PP monster. He's got a violent one-timer and can adjust to passes to find his sweet spot. He knows how to find those prime areas.
