2025 NHL DRAFT Thread

this trade talk is going to be silly all summer...this team is nowhere near contention, just make the pick
exactly, keep stockpiling young talent.

This team is not at the point to make a trade...

Don't make a trade just to acquire someone for Bedard to play with...Wait! let this upcoming season happen...

the amount of young forwards that will be on the roster this upcoming year is gonna make our head spin...and that is good. Bedard may very well simply click with someone this year. He is committed to the Hawks and put that out publicly after rumors this year, he also is skipping Worlds to focus on acceleration to be the best he can for the team and the hawks rebuild.

Hagen's seems like the closest to a sure 70 point plus player . Even tough he's so similar to what Kyle has coming he might be the most talented and the safest pick .

You could argue he's better than Martone today... I just don't see how that holds up in like 2 years though.

Well If Martone doesn't work at his skating he wont be much in the NHL . I was shocked he didn't play in World Jr's , then again Lardis and Misa weren't good enough but Easton Cowan was the featured star .

I don't agree.

I hope his skating gets better but it could stay the same and he'd still have his elite IQ and playmaking.

Draft year players for Team Canada rarely get ice time or even invites in the first place.

Do we have a Martone in the system ? Assuming Misa is gone...I think Martone or Desnoyers.

I can't see KD drafting Martone unfortunately, especially with Desnoyers and Frondell there.
yeah but like 90% of his scouting staff would be calling him a f***ing idiot for drafting Frondell, and reminding him that he passed on Cristall for Gajan

What if 90% of his scouting staff says to him to draft Frondell? I´m starting to hope they take Frondell just see couple of meltdowns here.

1. Kyle should keep the pick and just make the pick. No need to trade up or down.
2. Just have your Top3 ready and take who is left for you.
3. If Isles like the Hagens idea they just have to make sure to take him 1st overall.
4. I expect the Sharks to just pick 2nd and hope #1 isn't going to be Schaefer.

5. I want to see some a trade up like last year or make a package for a 1st for next year.
#3 and the Leafs pick with another 2 2nds and 3 2nds for next year? Package something up to get a higher pick. We would still have lots of picks left after doing this.

Scott Wheeler just released his mock Draft: pick 3 Anton Frondell

"I think the Blackhawks’ decision comes down to three names: Misa, Desnoyers and Frondell."

Just reading this too. He also has Martone falling to 8th, and McQueen to 9th.

He has the Hawks going Vansaghi with the Toronto pick, but says they’ll probably try to move up in the draft.
