TSN put out a video about how maybe NYI will try to pair Hagens with Cole Eiserman again
I wouldn't love the pick if it's Martone. I get the idea of a big forward to pair with Bedard and he's big with vision and hands. But so is Pat Maroon. His skating does not look good.
I'd rather use #3OA on a guy who's a better skater and use later picks on guys with this profile and less regarded and try to improve their skating. I'll also say that I don't fully understand how some guys improve their skating and some guys don't.
What narrative? That Martone is slow and we shouldn't take him at 3?This narrative is off the rails at this point.
Pat Maroon?!?!? lol
According to PuckPedia it would cost the Hawks both their 1sts and 2nds plus the FLA 1st in 26 to move up to 1...I'd just keep the assets and bet on the field to be better than Misa tbh and maybe you get lucky and NYI goes for the hometown kid that played with Eiserman in Hagens and Misa slides anywayI can't see them picking Hagens 1st overall.
Although I could be wrong.
I still hope that we'll be able to nab Misa.

Fairly certain he will as well. His birthday alone should put him to the NCAA by itself.Martone should play a year of college, imo. The pace is a lot quicker than junior, it'd be a good intermediary step for a guy like him.
Its just easy to say a big guy is slow. He's really not that slow. What narrative? That Martone is slow and we shouldn't take him at 3?

I was thinking more along the lines of that roadrunneresqueThis narrative is off the rails at this point.

I watched his highlight reel from this year and I don't like his skating. So give me a little more credit than that. I didn't compare his skating to Patrick Maroon's. I said Martone is big, has good hands, and good vision and so does Pat Maroon. My point was that you can have all of those things but if you can't skate well, your impact will be limited.Yes, that brain dead narrative that you seem to have latched onto.
Comparing his skating to Pat Maroon makes you look incredibly foolish.
But go on…
Same shit, different day about this board not being honest with ourselves. It's a bit preachy that there's dishonesty for not liking Frondell at #3.
Could Frondell be the Hawks pick? Absolutely. Same with Desnoyers, Hagens, and Martone. It's not an exact science.
Nobody knows anything about who is most likely to be picked. Lets be real. It’s totally okay to not like him as a prospect. My point is that he, based on everything we know, is the most likely player to be the pick.
Top 2025 NHL Draft prospect Anton Frondell is set to undergo knee surgery, shares Djugardens IF insider Robin Fredriksson. No timeline for a return has been revealed. It’s Frondell’s second major lower-body injury in as many years.
I cannot find the nature and extent of the injuries. We don't
need another Tuomo Ruutu.
Well we can't be sure that KD isn't one of us in disguiseNobody knows anything about who is most likely to be picked. Lets be real.
would help out their efforts for McKenna as well...know they do not want to be in that position but its best for the long run to have another crack at a 1st overall pickMartone should play a year of college, imo. The pace is a lot quicker than junior, it'd be a good intermediary step for a guy like him.
It's simply something to consider. This was in December? He’s played like 35 games since then. Demidov also had knee surgery last year. I don’t think anyone even remembers that by now.
