I’d imagine it’s going to take a much better piece going the other way for a pick in the 3-6 range vs a bunch of meh.
Like the Blackhawks own 2026 1st rounder, which I’d hope isn’t on the table.

not that this is set in stone or anything but to move back into the top 6 and using the Toronto pick you would need at least 250 more value (points i guess?) to add to the pick . Maybe the Blackhawks next 2 2nd rounders or a mix of a 3rd with Dallas's second and another second.

No team is trading a top 10 pick for a late 1st and scraps.
But they do in my NHL games????

If KD traded away the 7th OVR (Korchinski) for a 1st in the late teens/mid twenties + a couple second round picks we would’ve rioted

Rinzel is on the cusp of a pro career, and looks like a future first pairing equivalent right handed dman. He’s been developed correctly, has size, and looks like he’s a two-way player. His value is sky high right now. He’s a projectable commodity. In this draft, the only possible trade would be for Schaefer.
The Hawks would be incredibly stupid to trade him right now unless it’s for a young, projectable, future star center already in the NHL.

That's the only scenario at this point. If we draft Misa..or Hagens, and Boisvert and Moore develop we should be decent at center. Who knows who we get at with the leafs pick this year, ours and the panthers next year. We have several 2nd round picks....so we may pluck a peach with one of those.
It's a process that will take some time as has been stated repeatedly.
with packaging Toronto 1st, Florida 1st , combo of 2nd rd picks and prospect is there anyway to move back into say pick 10,11,12? I really like Jake O'Brien and he has built in chemistry with Lardis and Vanacher

the issue is what teams are looking for futures currently? I cannot think of 1? I think there will be in a 1-2 a few more teams will blow things up but for next year? tell me one team that would trade a current asset either young player or pick this year for later picks or future picks.

for blackhawks I like frondell over Martone. we need a 6-1 200lb center. moore, nazar bedard are all undersized and might make more sense on the wing. Sacha looks more like middle 6 center, Greene bottom 6.

I'm not moving Rinzel for a top 10 pick this year. We don't need to reset the timeline on picks, if anything we need to move forward faster. A top 10 pick this year isn't providing value for two to three more years. Rinzel might be providing value next year, the following year at the latest.

Sacha has a great shot so that could make sense. With lev looking at least solid for a 6-2 RD at 19 it helps me from stat watching how Demi is doing. he was my choice over LEV and our Russian scout really liked him. I have no shifted my Angst of stat checking for marek vanacker and Igor Chernyshov he is 2 inches taller and 25 lbs heavier. they both had shoulder issues and started the season late. IC has 55 in 23G and MV had 42 in 45G. I liked IC skating for his size. I know at the russian camp he got badly sunburned in miami and was not able to particapate and that turned some teams off. In fairness a Russian kid gets to goto Miami for few days that is probably not that unlikely. a prospect pool that lacks size he would look really nice right now.
I can see KD doing something similar to last year. I know a lot of people didn't care for the Sacha pick, but he's had a pretty nice Freshman year ....one would have to agree it's a better pick than originally anticipated. I think its a pretty big crapshoot though when you think about the 18th slot.....18 and and 27 ....not much diference this year..
